why is this bush dying?

i cant figure out why this one bush is dying, its not in a long line and its not next to anything ! this is the second time ive planted it, the first time it was planted next to the other 3 fully grown bushes to the left, then the bushes on the top were planted. its not dying bc of so many plants in the area right ? its all just flowers..

Seems most likely because there are too many bushes in the area. I can't see any other reason.

This definitely appears to be a quirk in the bush growing algorithm put into the game. Bushes can be in sequences (along with trees "attached" to them) of 12 unless the game somehow deems that you are "closing an area off." It could be that since the sequence south of it is so long/big that the algorithm is having to offset it by allowing less north of it. I bet if you decreased the size of the south sequence, it will allow the north sequence to have more. Hope this helps!

You can only have a certain amount of bushes/trees in a line

What I would do is dig up those bushes to the left of the dead one and replant them, one bush a day starting with the dead one. That works out for me when I run into this problem.
