Unless the children on the island themselves act like a bunch of idiots.
I met this girl on Club Tortimer (AND THAT WAS MY FIRST TIME...COME ON), who called me 'an old hag'.
Um let me try and recall the situation...trying to remember what the convo was

Me: ...Don't you have any respect for your elders?
Girl: No
Me: (I said something about her parents and her grandparents) How about your grandparents then huh?

Even though I might be a child or young teen right now, immature kids of all ages (like 5-13) just piss me off as they don't understand life (not trying to sound fancy or grown-up or anything, I'm just telling the truth) and they think that they 'rule' the world

Well, if you think about it, people of any age play this game, not just kids, and even then, they have every opportunity to error on me. The stuff they're looking for on the island can be easily obtained from either their town, their own island, or an online forum. So, I thinks there's not much harm done in that area. Sure, they might have lost some time, but if they're not willing to try to devote more time to getting it again, then maybe they don't truly want it as bad as others do.

Those are just my thoughts.

Well, they can always go to the international island, making it near impossible for me to find them.

There are so many alternatives to running into me. If people actually want something, they'll find ways to get it, so the people who TRULY want fish and bugs and rare items will find alternatives.

Trolls ruin the fun for others. I've encountered lots of trolls in the past, and me makes me feel sad that people find it fun to do that to other people.
Also, you stated above about people wanting to find alternatives to find rare items/ bugs and fish.
I can say for myself that it's nice to talk to people when I'm catching bugs and fishing. At one point, I was talking to this really nice boy who was giving me tips on getting the perfect town. It made me feel less lonely.
People work really hard to achieve items on the island and try to complete their encyclopedia. It doesn't help them by someone bugging them constantly and threatening to flip the switch.

So if somebody bothers me in the island I'll go up to the counter and start a conversation with Leilani then just leave my 3DS on the table and go watch a movie or something. This time the troll can't play any games or leave, and new people can't enter the island for the troll to bother. Eventually the troll will get bored and disconnect.

Lol, I was actually at the island with a bunch of young girls who were excited about going back to school, and they started cursing and being ignorant, so I asked them whether they could stop and next thing you know I'm a loser and a party pooper or whatever. It made me feel a bit sad, but I soon got over it. That's when the girl called me the female dog.

If they don't have their stuff in the box that means they barely have any bugs/fish in their inventory. Trolling them results in a harmless 10-50k bell loss. It is hard to troll on a game like this, try to make a pker on an mmorpg to really see people lose stuff/rage.
