You have ACNL if you're reading this, right? You bought this game for a reason. To kill time? Peer pressure? Or just simply you have the other games and this was to add to your collection? Everyone has differences, so why did you buy Animal Crossing?

~~~
For me, I was given the gift by my friend, who had an extra copy. He was going to "cheat" with the game, but he decided to give me the copy. Then this website happened and I joined also because of him. :3
I've played Wild World and City Folk so naturally I had to have New Leaf as well c: I LOVE this series. I'm glad you found this game--hopefully you enjoy it!!!
Because I love games that you can create. You can build the most beautiful and well developed town you can think of.
I played WW and I enjoyed it. I didn't buy a 3DS and NL until a year after its release. The reason is because at the time, I knew I couldn't connect to the Internet. (Stupid Verizon DSL!) I figured I'd miss out on a lot of stuff. Even so, I finally caved. I watched some Let's Play videos on YouTube and couldn't resist any longer. As "luck" would have it, our DSL signal got worse and worse from August to October 2014. We finally switched over to Cox High Speed because Verizon was no help. The signal is much stronger in my house now and I can finally play with others! I played alone for the first 6 months, which is okay because it allowed me to fix up my town. I really liked the game before and now I love it!
I bought it because I loved Wild World so much. I got attached to the series because my cousins showed me it and I love cute things so it was the perfect game!
The reason I bought my 3DS was all because of New Leaf! I just love Animal Crossing so much! It's a friendly environment, there's so much to do and everything can be done at my own pace while I relax. It's a haven for me!
I got into ACWW when a friend showed me it. I played that for a good portion of my childhood and i loved it C: it was my favorite game but i grew sick of it when ACCF came out, it was literally a remake of ACWW and it was a pain to play since it wasn't on a portable system. I got into ACNL when Chuggaaconroy made an LP of it on his youtube channel, i got the game/my system in late November of last year and i've been hooked ever since C: it's such an amazing series
I played WW when my brother first got a DS (free promotional thing). I could've done more with it if I adjusted the time correctly, but I still enjoyed the little things you could do (like fishing). I lost the game cartridge at some point and forgot about the series entirely until New Leaf came out. My best friend was super nice enough to give me a copy as a Christmas gift. I bought a 3DS JUST for this game.
I remember finding it relaxing and it helped coping with my depression at one point.
I have to say though, my face nearly exploded when I found out all the new things it has. I still have hours-long gaming stints with it.
I played Animal Crossing Population Growing as a child on and off until about 2 years ago. I got New Leaf and a 3DS at the same time for Christmas the year before last.
I saw gifs and photos of it (on tumblr) and I thought it was a really cute game! I saw that many people are saying that its a great game too so naturally, I became interested and researched on it and it definitely looked like a fun game! plus the characters are very cute so why not right?
I got it for Xmas 2013. Then I got another copy for my birthday in June 2014. I didn't actually play the game until February 8th 2014 so January is the only month I haven't played through! I had no choice because I got it for Xmas
I'd never heard of Animal Crossing before New Leaf but I have friends that have played it since the first game.
I kept seeing them talking about NL and it's release and I guess peer pressure got the better of me. ^^
The made the game sound fun and I was looking for something else to do. So why not?
I am happy I bought it. I wish I had known about it sooner.
I got it because you get to be mayor and it has more customization than ever before. Want to dress up? QR machine. Town is boring? PWPs and bushes. Home not looking right? Refurbish and renovate.
i remember seeing somethin called animal crossing and found a rom i could play (wild world) and it seemed really cute and when screenshots for NL came out, i saw them and was like that looks x88888888 times better and so yeah
I played ACGC and WCWW as a child and was so happy when I found out a new version for the 3ds was coming out and I was 10x more convinced to buy it when I saw the videos and photos of it prior to release.
Loved WW and CF and waited so long to get NL as it just looked amazing and I love the series. I actually only got my 3DS this Christmas and only bought it for NL (it's still the only 3DS game I own).
I was in Target reserving Pokemon Y when I saw ACNL and decided to buy it for fun. I ended up loving the game and found it to be quite addicting.
