Why Did You Buy Animal Crossing New Leaf??

I played Wild World when I was a child so when I found out New Leaf was coming out I had to buy it. :D

I watched Andrew Arcade's (a YouTube gaming channel) Let's Play of New Leaf and loved the idea of having my own little world to escape to and manage how I wanted to. :)

I never thought I would actually be able to play it (I didn't have a 3DS) until my awesome awesome boyfriend bought me one and the game for Christmas. And now he has to hear me talk about my town all the time.

I love Animal Crossing, and it looked like the developers had learned from City Folk.

I played the GC Animal Crossing as a kid, and also had CF for the Wii. Never had a DS to play WW on, but when I eventually bought a 3DS as a teen it was not long before NL was released so I wanted to try it on the handheld since I love the series.

Needless to say I'm glad I did, it's my favourite installment by far. c:

You have ACNL if you're reading this, right? You bought this game for a reason. To kill time? Peer pressure? Or just simply you have the other games and this was to add to your collection? Everyone has differences, so why did you buy Animal Crossing?

~~~
For me, I was given the gift by my friend, who had an extra copy. He was going to "cheat" with the game, but he decided to give me the copy. Then this website happened and I joined also because of him. :3
It's difficult for me to recall. It may have been me having caught some uploaded videos on YouTube.com. I bought "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" in August 2013. I didn't buy it sooner because I didn't know about it. I have Nintendo's Wii, for years, and, since November 2012, Wii U. I felt like Wii U was a lemon. It's not so much a lemon now. (The list of titles were anemic.)
I'm sure I bought "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" to see what I thought; that I wanted it to be even better than "City Folk" which, in hindsight, wasn't all that good. I took a liking to "New Leaf" very quickly. I didn't have a wireless connection, at the time, but once I changed that my enjoyment from playing this game became enhanced. (And this is before I bought any additional copies.)
The Valentine's Day Direct back in 2013 was the first time I'd ever heard of AC. At first I kind of brushed it off, but then I was intrigued and went back and listened to that Direct again just for that part. I starting to look up AC and was instantly hooked. So on June 18th, 2013 I got the digital version of AC. I joined this forum the next day.
I remember before asking Animal Crossing : Wild World for chistmas, I had seen the teaser on TV and it was a girl talking about how she could be whoever she wanted on ACWW and how she was able to enter a brand new world etc. It was a pretty good teaser and it made some effect, so I got it for christmas.
Not having a Wii, I passed on ACCF, but when the 3DS came out with ACNL, I just couldn't resist. The graphics were just so good and it looked like there had been a lot of improvement (I remember using "I can even change my pants!" as an argument to convince my mom to give me extra money for it). I got it and managed to make so my little brother could have it for christmas too! Now I don't have a social life and I struggle at making up a good town but I REGRET NOTHING.
I had Animal Crossing on the Gamecube and I loved the series ever since. I unfortunately missed out on City Folk though, wish that I bought it before my Wii broke
Played the GC version as a kid along with WW, so naturally, I wanted NL. I like open world/sandbox-type games.
I have been a crosser of many years, and I found out about this game through my friend. She wanted someone to play with, so naturally I got it to play with her. However she runs into the error of not being able to connect with me, so we never have had a chance to enjoy one another's town's together. I need to thank her though, she rekindled my lost love of Animal Crossing. It feels good to be back.
we had wild world lying around, and i decided to play it and i thought it was the perfect game for me. i was already debating whether or not i would get new leaf so i decided to get familiar with at least one of the older titles. now i'm absolutely hooked.
Oh, I misread the title. I got it because my sister used to play the wild world and GameCube one and I would watch her. I got City Folk for myself and I got New Leaf because to me, it looked AMAZING. Plus the only reason I got a 3DS was because I saw those trailer about the game around two years before it was actually talked about.
This game gives me something to do and in a way it helps with my depression. I haven't found any other game that makes me feel the way Animal Crossing does. It brought me and my mom closer. She never played the game, but every Saturday when K.K. Slider would come, she'd always come listen. It was really sweet. c:
MY friend showed me it. She always loved AC. And one day after she got ACNL I was watching her play and telling her how dumb it was, thiking "What the f*** is the point to this X'D" Not sure what happened. But I bought it and now I have over 500 hours on it..............
Honestly, I downloaded the rom for Wild World, and I loved it. I played it constantly on my 3ds.
Then somehow...I don't exactly remember how, I found out that New Leaf had come out.
I looked up some stuff about it, but I didn't want to ruin any surprises...It looked so amazing, and
I wanted it so bad. So, I forked over the $35 and got it. I can remember everything about my first town...
Pears as the town fruit, red train station, yellow, brown and green town hall.
Sterling, Eloise, Maple, Annabelle, and Static, as my first five. Jacques moved in, followed by Cherry, Derwin, and Alice.
Maple moved out, due to me not playing for a while, and my only PWP was the fountain.
I never brought anything back from the island, because my dumbass couldn't figure out how. Lol...
I was Mayor Vincent on Amrbose. Based off of House of Wax, because Silent Hill, Haddonfield, Sanitarium, and Briarcliff wouldn't fit >:[
Ah, memories....
I digress. It looked amazing. That's why I bought it, and I was most definitely not disappointed, in the least.
Loved wild world though city folk was a bit of a disappointment. It looked amazing in trailers and what not plus it was on a portable device again so I brought a 3ds and got it.
