who's the most interesting/uncommon/most popular villager you've seen on a mystery island?

The most popular villagers I’ve found on mystery islands were probably Audie (3 times), Vivian (twice), merengue, Skye, and Dobie. I did not invite any of them. I also found Coco once and came really close to inviting her, except at the time I already had 3 normals.

Most interesting...I guess number one is probably Bangle who I found as my original peppy, and was very unsure about. But I’ve some how come to love her so much that I now consider her permanent. Alice and Ursala also surprised me cause I had never considered them, but since I saw them in previous island hunting I have regretted not inviting them and now think of them as favorites. Also Rhonda is interesting, I saw her on so many previous island hopping trips that I’m now going to invite her the next time I run into her. I was even thinking of buying her amiibo card. It feels like fate/ she wore me down.

Most uncommon, I’m not sure which would qualify, since no villagers are really rare, but I saw Rory and Tucker on my last trip and I rarely hear about either of them, so they seem uncommon to me. I was very tempted to take them and they were both super super cute! (But I ended up finding Cole on island 11 which was amazing!)

Knox was the most “interesting” to me. I had never seen him before so when I saw this gold helmet-clad chicken roaming around the island I knew I had to invite him to mine! Unfortunately I’ve since replaced him...

I've found Judy, Audie (twice), Sherb and Merengue! Judy I originally invited to sell but she's now a perma because she really grew on me, same with Audie but her bright exterior is starting to bother me super bad, Sherb I didn't invite and Merengue I traded away :'3c

Raymond would be the most popular villager I've found and wanted.
I've also found and kept (so far!) Sherb, Zucker, Judy, Marina, Fauna & Diana.

I've also come across Stitches, Dom, Ankha, Bob, Coco, Merengue, Lucky, Lolly, Erik & Maple several times each. I have found Audie so many times, even 2 times in a row more than once before, but just don't want her

hm i think the most popular villager i’ve run into was zucker but i’ve also encountered julian, marshal, skye and beau who are also pretty popular! i invited all of them minus julian as i’m not fond of the smugs but i kind of regret it since he’s one of the smugs that i actually like lmao

i’ve run into several uncommon/unpopular villagers while island hopping but my most recent one is big top - i found him on my 5th island during my recent island hopping adventure and honestly? i literally couldn’t leave him there. he’s genuinely so adorable and like,,, he’s Baby. i’m not sure if he’ll be permanent and his house interior is honestly very ugly but he’s a cutie and i’m excited to have him around ;;

So this! I think I saw Zucker 3 times on my last hopping trip. Was about 55 when I found Ankha. She wasn’t who I was searching for but I wanted to see what she was like.

Previous hops I’ve passed on Bob, Marina, Fauna. Best find was Dom in only a handful of hops permanent resident of Hobbiton.

I found the two most popular (and newest) villagers by dreamie hunting on mystery islands - Dom and Judy both of which I invited back to my island. Cost me lots of NMTs, around 80 each but it was worth it!
Most interesting would probably be Ankha, which I invited and still have on my island (ready to let her go though if she ever asks to leave), and Coco which I didn’t invite because at the time I was searching for either Dom or Judy (found Dom then!).

Penelope was a villager I never would have considered having in my town, but I found her on a mystery island a few months ago and fell in love with her design. I really like that she’s the only mouse that doesn’t have ears, and instead has a large, pink bow. I also like her buck teeth. Mice are one of the least popular species, but I think she’s super cute and now she’s my favorite peppy villager. It’s kinda weird that her fur is green, but I think it adds to her charm.

She’s also one of the easiest villagers in my town to dress up, and she looks good in everything I’ve given her.

Penelope is so cute!! I had her as one of my starter villagers and was very tempted to keep her forever. I was very surprised to see that she wasn’t very popular
