Who wants extra slots for villagers??

I like the 10 villagers limit any more and I feel it would make your island look crowded and take up more room that you could be using to decorate

I would love more slots. I don't see why they couldn't make it optional for people that prefer having less villagers and more space for decorating in other ways but I personally want more buildings and more dreamies! Have it go to a maximum of 15 with the option to later delete those 5 extra plots (when villagers have just moved out of course) later down the line if you change your mind.

Dreamie hunting videos are some of the most popular AC vlog videos on youtube right now so it'd be a good way to capitalise off of that, milking that easy promotion for longer by giving people/vloggers more slots. Add some new villagers (and maybe even new species) in the update with the extra slots and boom, everyone is hunting again for new dreamies.

Only if they expand upon the personalities' dialogue quite a bit. You're already gonna have at least two repeats, I personally don't need more until they improve things. It's also nice to visit friends' islands that have other villagers you love but wouldn't have space for. You can become friends with them there and I appreciate that.

While there are a lot of villagers I do love, have multiple of the same personality is disappointing to me because of how they are pretty much the same. If they expanded on the personalities in some way (like a sub personality) then I would be all for it. But for now I’d rather not.

I prefer the 10 villager limit. I don’t have an endless amount of time to play. Adding more villagers would most likely cause me to neglect them.

I could take a couple more. My island is pretty full, but it would be nice to have a few extra since I have more than 10 I really like in this game. However, I know that this will never happen in ACNH.

Maybe if it was done at the beginning of the game, but now we are too far in. The only unplanned space I have would be in the beach and I really don’t want to place a villager there.

If it had been in the very beginning, yes, I could have made room for 12 villagers. To add it in now would be a headache I don't want to deal with. My neighborhoods are carefully laid out, and the rest of my island is planned. I already have small, virtually non-existent yards for my villagers (compared to other islands), and trying to squeeze two or more houses in would completely ruin the natural setting I have.

I liked having the eight back in WW.

I feel OCD compelled to talk to all ten, every time I load the game.
It's frustrating.

This. I have to physically stop myself from talking to all ten of my villagers right when I open up my game. Plus I've provided only enough space for a new permanent building on my island, and more villagers would throw that off.

I don't think they'd do this since the limited villagers are part of the point (and we've got to repeat personalities as it is, with the repetitive dialogue). I won't lie though, at least a couple more extra slots would be awesome.

I would definitely love to take in some more villagers! In my opinion, any more than two villagers, though, would warrant an island expansion -- I like letting my babies have a ton of yard space to do their thing.

This is a really good point; in fact, a lot of the comments made here are really good points. I had three peppies at one point and that didn’t go very well. I still haven’t recovered; even before I got three peppies, I felt like I didn’t click with them as much as I had in NL. Puddles for instance did not seem as peppy as she is NH in NL. So, yeah, I think before they even consider giving us more space and slots for villagers (as much as I want it), they should do something about the dialogue.

Since I’ve already decided who all my permanent residents will be (and already have 8/10 of them), it gives me more reason to spend time visiting the villagers on a friend’s island. I’ve been interested in Pekoe and wasn’t interested in Rocco the slightest until I saw him in the bunny day outfit with that scowl on his face (not to mention how jealous he was of your title xD). Even with repetitive dialogue, I’m still finding visiting other people’s villagers enjoyable ^.^.

Be lit if the island were bigger.
Can't quite have a ton of villagers with a cramped island.
Really takes away from the creativity options.
That would be cool, though.
