I had her once in NL, spoke to her a few times and apparently that build up our friendship enough that she sent me her pic just as she moved away randomly. I missed her dearly.
...Then, suddenly, she reappeared into my life as my very first mystery island villager. Had to move her out then hold her on my second island, then reinvite her so she can have her proper interior. She is my queen

Either Sterling or Diana. Sterling is my favorite villager period (had a lot of fun with him in NL) but Diana has been really enjoyable in this game. First of all, she saved me from my creepiest villager (even more so than newcomer Lucky!) Even after that, she’s been a lot of fun as a villager. I hated snooties in previous games (they were the least approachable personality in games like CF and WW) but she’s been warm since the start! She seems to even be fine with my character basically being a feral child (she only says I’m less adorable with a wasp sting) and I’ve seen her doing non-snooty things like hanging out with Sterling and Zucker. Heck, my favorite moment with her is her sitting in a pile of leaves while sipping a soda! So, while Sterling might be my favorite overall I’d say Diana is my favorite NH villager.

I just got Lucky! He’s my absolute favorite lazy but he’s brand new to Arctin so I need to see how he meshes with the others.Definitely Lucky! I love watching him run around

I like them all, but my top two faves are Marshal followed by Judy. I suppose it's pretty obvious that Marshal's my #1 favorite. However, I genuinely did not expect to like Judy as much as I do. She reminds me of the sparkly, girly aesthetic I sported throughout childhood (and now, though to a lesser degree).
It should be obvious from the avatar, but Static is king on my island.

Oh, I already love him because of WW. I have a silly story about only becoming friends with him because I wanted the master sword in his house (I still have it!) The only reason I’m a bit worried is that they utterly butchered Sterling. He’s all biceps and no substantial talk now, and his house was changed from an amazing ballroom to a drab and kind of creepy dungeon. From what I’ve seen from Lucky so far and how you’ve described him, that doesn’t seem to be the case (my dad loves his morbid room)!You are going to love him! I swear every time I see him on my island, I just smile
This is my first animal crossing game that I've played, but that would still make me mad if they did that. But I just love him and the interior and exterior of his house makes him even cuter

Bangle has been my favourite since I've had her on this game. Wolfgang moved in the other day though and I love him too! I had him on my NL town so I wanted him again here.

Tough choice because Sterling and Queenie are right up there for being my villagers. Sterling was with me from the start but Queenie came to my island way later. Little did I know that I've come to like her a lot.
