Who do you think is the rarest villager?

It's all a matter of supply and demand. If the demand is high, then people are willing to pay more for it, and more people who want to make money/get other people dreamies will advertise that they have the popular villagers. Because tier 5's are low in demand, people don't set their monetary value to be high on the forums.

Ah, then it is rare on the boards then, but maybe if you look in the right place. If you look for more websites that have Villager trades, then surely you will find alot of tier five villagers for sale. The list for popular villagers on this forum only applies to TBT, not other websites. You might not know a Tier 5 villager here might be popular in other websites. So we can't really say which is rare, because popularities differ in other websites like tumblr or ACC etc.

Of course some of the top of the tier 1 villagers are going to be universally sought after, but after that it really varies from website to website.

Tier 5 are insanly difficult to get, because most of the time people don't think they will interest anyone so they just void them.

it took me the longest to get daisy and shes a tier 5 :x so yeah i think tier 5's are pretty hard to get

Tier 5's are nearly impossible to get (If you're looking for a specific one.), since they usually receive 5 minutes in cycling threads. Sometimes they're automatically voided. Which is sad, since Blanche and Celia are both really beautiful ;^;

well i don't think you can ever have an octopus as a starter villager (like your original 5) so i suppose that would make them rarer but not really since they're all sought after

That's because the octopi are popular. I'm talking about getting them with no help from anyone

That's pretty funny considering I just got Puck (and I don't want him honestly).
As everyone else is saying, definitely the Tier 5 because they're either always auto-voided or just the threads are always ignored.

Technically, I think you have the same odds of getting any villager. The most rare type are probably octopi since there's fewer of them (speaking in terms of species).

However, when it comes to trading and such, I've noticed that tier 5s are it. Probably because most people void them without a second thought since not many others are looking for them. Which is sad because most of the ones I like best are tier 5 (I don't care if that makes me a hipster or whatever).
