Bertha is so cute and has a nice choice of colours definitely! I really want her but I'm not sure I have enough place on my island to one day see her coming... but she's for me one of the best normal villagers with Fauna, Chevre, Coco, Merengue... stop being so cute!
Hippeux is my second favorite. He's my first camper and I know I'll let him go some days and at first I dislike his design (wanted Marshal much more than him haha) but after few weeks seing him everyday, talking to him everytime I see him... he's cute and I'll be sad to let him go! He has nice personality (smugs are the greatest!) and always will be a good friend of mine!
Biff is definitely my favorite. I love his big round eyes and his perpetually angry eyebrows, and I do like the hippo tails :3 Bertha is really cute though too
My favorite is Bubbles. She's randomly moved into two of my towns and, even though I've let her leave both of them eventually, I enjoyed having her each time. She doesn't have the most interesting look, but her personality and charm more than make up for it.
Bertha was also quite nice when I had her as a villager and I love her coloring, but Bubbles' personality won me over more.
i don’t really care for the hippos but i love bertha. she was one of my first 10 villagers and she’s just,, the sweetest thing. but biff is pretty cool, too!
Rocco's the best, I like his city-like house designs and that he's a cranky. his appearance is very "cranky" too.
My least favorite is Hipeaux. Not a fan of his mustardy yellow color, and his hair doesn't really suit him either.

in all seriousness if i had to choose, biff would definitely be my favourite. his eyes and angry eyebrows are cute, what is boy mad about
worst is a tie between harry and hippeaux. harry looks like he has unkempt facial hair and is probably smelly, plus that muddy yellow-brown is just gross. hippeaux is a gaudy snotty colour and overall looks like he donates plenty of money to right-wing political parties and would probably call me a slur if given the chance.
However, Hippeux and Harry are really awful looking. Hippeux's bright lime-green-yellow whatever color is too bright for my eyes, and Harry reminds me of some middle-aged slob who lives alone, eats pizza all day, and never showers.
Best: Bertha - I like her colour and she has sweet eyes. Bubbles - I just love the name Bubbles and I feel like the name suits the peppy personality well so she's cute.
Worst: Harry - The beard, or whatever that's supposed to be, I just don't like it. He would actually look just fine without that one element. Hippeux - I do like his name but his weird greeny yellow colour ruins his design. If he was completely coloured the dark green colour of his hands and feet then I think I would actually like him.
Well this thread has made me realise that I've never had a hippo live in my town. That said, Bitty and Bertha are my favourites out of all of them. I love Bitty's purple eyeshadow and statement eyelashes. She also has some great items in her camper when inviting her through her card in New Leaf.
Genuinely, I love Hippeux. He has all the pretentious vibes of someone desperate to seem like the smartest and most refined, and I'm not even sure if his name is supposed to be pronounced like "Hippeaux" or if the misspelling is intentional. Either way I desperately want the snobby hippo man in one of my AC towns someday
The worst hippo for me is Harry, because his facial hair is just very weird and off-putting

No, they haven't. They are all still eye sores. Every single one of them. Thank goodness I am not a collector otherwise I would have to painfully invite them and be nice to every single one of them. *shudders with the horrid thought*
For the sake of the poll I chose Rocco and I guess I'll still stand that Rocco is the least eye sore out of all of them.
Bertha and Bitty are pretty cute hippos. The hippo villager is misunderstood. They are certainly not as popular as the other types of villagers, like cats or dogs or deer. But Bertha and Bitty are pretty cute and good villagers.
Hippeux looks like a jerk, and he has the smug type, so I probably wouldn't want him on my island for too long. Harry's design is confusing me the more I look at it.
Love her coloring and she's really sweet. Bitty is nice too, I don't get the hate.
