Who are the best (and worst) frog villagers and why? 🐸

i love all the frogs, every single one of them is adorable. i want to hold them all in my hands they are all my babies.

my absolute favourite is jeremiah because he's two lovely shades of blue! he also always looks so happy and friendly. my other favourites are tad and lily, and sunny if we're counting older games. they're all such cute classic frogs, i love sunny's little face, lily's pink cheeks, and tad's side-eye. plus tad is my friend cornimer's favourite so.

my least favourite would i guess be wart jr. just because i like his colour the least? and the way the warts are spaced out is a bit unsettling. but i still like him because he's just a little toad. there isn't a bad frog i will die on this hill.

Frobert is my favorite frog villager, he's cute and adorable! But he isn't even in this poll, so I voted for Jeremiah, instead.

I really, really, really, despise Diva, though...and it's not even her appearance...
She is ultimately banned from all of my New Leaf towns forever, and if I ever get her again, I will reset my game!
She became one of my mortal enemies, after taking a painfully long time to move out, and she kept bothering a villager I love, and she would NEVER leave him alone, either!

Best is updated for my top 5 frogs. They are all precious. DO NOT TOUCH THEM!

BEST:
1. Ribbot. One of the few robot villagers so he's an instant like.
2. Raddle. Scientist frog wearing a mask. After the pandemic I realize now why Raddle always wears a mask lol
3. Drift. He is cute and its rare to see a red frog. I love tropical frog designs and his is great.
4. Henry. I've started liking Henry more than Lily as my iconic green frog but...
5. Lily. ...she is still great! Both pair well together. I am always thinking about a town of frogs but its difficult because of...

WORST: Diva and Wart Jr. Ever since someone pointed out that Croque looks like a dharma I started liking him more and understand why he looks that way. Diva and Wart Jr. though...nope.

Frogs are definitely one of the best species! I love the way they don't carry umbrellas when it rains it's such a cute little feature.

Best:
Tad - He's one of the cutest jock villagers in the game I think I love small size villagers who talk about being big and strong, it's just adorable. And I just love the name Tad as reference to tadpoles
Lily - Also adorable with those rosy cheeks and sparkly eyes, name a reference to lily pads possibly which is also so cute.
Henry - I like the green and yellow design and I think he's one of the better smug villagers
(Extra shout out: Jeremiah, Ribbot, Jambette)

Worst:
Prince - Just something about the colouring around his mouth makes him look gross to me :/
Raddle - Masks in healthcare love to see it, but it's actually his eyes that ruin it for me because it makes him look sad.
Gigi - I feel like I've literally never seen this frog before, until I looked up frogs to make this list just now???? But I don't like her design. She looks ready to insult me.

Henry, Jeremiah, Huck, Lily, and Tad are all little cuties! She's not in NH but I've always yearned for them to bring my girl Sunny back.

My least favorite is probably Diva. She's still a frog so I don't dislike her by any means but I'm not always a fan of the makeup on villagers (it looks great on Jambette though).

I have a serious soft spot for frogs IRL so I'm already inclined to love the frog villagers aaaaa
Lily is probably my favorite of the bunch though! I'm already fond of the normal villagers and she has a simple and sweet design with one of my favorite color combos. Raddle is also very cute and I love that he's a just a lil poison dart frog trying not to hurt anybody!! Jeremiah is a cutie also.

Middle ground for me is Cousteau. I actually really love him because he looks so happy and friendly, but I feel like his design, combined with his home interiors and name in the Japanese version, kiiiinda borders on offensive? His e-Card pose also seems... bad. As much as I like him he also gives me "uncomfortably stereotypical Chinese anime character" vibes and I much prefer other versions' interpretation of him as a little French frog.

I'd consider Huck, Prince, and Wart Jr. the worst frogs. Huck's and Wart Jr.'s expressions bug me, and everything about Prince's face in combination with each other is just... no. Puddles is kinda cute but she also looks like she's wearing a ski mask?? Which makes her weird to me aaa

Lily 100%! She adds some fun variety to my island of neutral coloured villagers. And I love the use of the hydrangea wallpaper in her house, it's so calming.

Lily is definitely my favorite froggie villager, her colors are so pretty! I also like Henry and Drift too. I don’t really care much for Cousteau or Wart Jr.

I love all the frogs! I love watching them roam about in rain without their umbrellas :")

My favorites:
- Drift because I remember him fondly from the GameCube days. He was one of my favorite neighbors and I still visit him from time to time.
-Puddles because her name SENDS me and she's so cute.
-Raddle because my significant other is in medical school and I'm applying to vet school so we love a good doctor rep.
-Gigi because I love her color scheme.

My lease favorite is Prince. His name is cute but I can't move past the beard or 5 o'clock shadow or whatever is on his face.

The best frog is Ribbot! That's my boy! I love him. Tad is pretty freakin' cute as well, love Tad. I never realized there were so many frog villagers until I looked them up for this post. Croque is pretty silly and could go in a food-themed village.

Raddle kind of freaks me out with his design, so he's a lower tier frog imo. That's really the only frog I don't like. I even like Jambette.

Not only is Lily my favorite frog villager, but she's also one of my favorite villagers overall. I have her on my island, and I've had her in my town in past games. Honorable mentions to Jeremiah, Raddle, and Wart Jr.


My thoughts on each frog villager:

Camofrog: I'm not the biggest fan of camouflage print, but I do like his wiggly mouth

Cousteau: Not the biggest fan of the mustache, but I like his happy expression

Croque: I like his mustache even less than Cousteau's, and I don't really like the design on his face

Diva: She's cute. I really like the purple coloring, although her eyes are a bit intense

Drift: He's cute. I think his only flaw is being a jock, my least favorite personality type. His coloring isn't my favorite either

Frobert: I like his coloring, pattern, and buck teeth, but he is another jock

Gigi: I like her starry eyes, but she's not really my style aside from that

Henry: I like him. A simple green frog with half-lidded eyes

Huck: The nose and large yellow cheeks kind of throw me off, but I like his gray color and his mouth

Jambette: I think I'd like her more without the bright pink lipstick. She's a nice shade of green

Jeremiah: Really cute. I love the blue coloring and pattern and his squiggly mouth. The lazy personality type is my second least favorite personality type though

Lily: Absolutely adorable! The cutest! Her bright eyes, mintish color, pink cheeks. And the normal personality type is one of my favorites

Prince: I'm just not a fan of the design on his face or his big empty eyes

Puddles: I don't really like the combination of dark pink and light pink. Her eyes are cute

Raddle: I love Raddle. His surgical mask and doctor appearance are really nice, especially when you consider that he's apparently meant to resemble a type of poison dart frog. He is lazy, but he's cool enough that I can look past that

Ribbot: One of the robot villagers. I like him, but I'm not a huge robot person, so he doesn't appeal to me that much. And he is a jock as well

Tad: He's cute enough, although he's another jock. I also feel like he could have better eyes

Wart Jr.: He's pretty cool. I like the warty look, and I love his mischievous expression

I feel kinda indifferent about frogs and frog villagers tbh, but some of them stand out to me more than others. I voted for Lily, Henry, Drift and Tad.

Some thoughts on each:

Camofrog: His eyes are staring into my soul but not in a good way. 2/10

Cousteau: He and Chadder are kinda sharing the cheese colour scheme. I like cheese. I don't like his moustache but without it he'd probably just be mid. 6/10

Croque: There's too much going on. The facial hair is questionable at best. 2/10

Diva: Nice shade of purple. She reminds me of the emoji. 6/10

Drift: He's a poison dart frog! I love when villagers resemble a real life variant of an animal! 9/10

Frobert: He's just a baby! 7/10

Gigi: Idk man. to me she looks like Diva ordered from Wish. 1/10

Henry: A classy princely frog! 10/10!

Huck: Not crazy about his colour scheme but he looks derpy and kinda cute so 5/10

Jambette: I hate that we are birthday twins. Why. -1000/10

Jeremiah: Very nice shades of blue! Nothing to complain on my end! 10/10

Lily: STUNNING color combination! She's a perfect little lady and I love her! 11/10

Prince: Henry should have been called Prince. Missed opportunity. Don't like anything about this frog. 1/10

Puddles: Cutie! Looks like she pulled panties over her head but props for being creative. 8/10

Raddle: He's ok, no thoughts. 5/10

Ribbot: Cool design, one of the better ones imo. 7/10

Tad: I love his derpy smile and this shade of green! 9/10

Wart Jr.: Don't like the colours or the expression. 0/10

I bet you thought I was gonna say Drift is the best frog villager but you were wrong hahaha. All of them are the best frogs there's no worst frogs.
If you know me then you know that frogs are my #1 favorite animal so it's self-explanatory what my favorite Animal Crossing Villagers are.
Camofrog: I love his little smile and how he's a grumpy little boy who acts like he's so tough but really he's shy and camouflages from people.
Cousteau: He's an adorable little Italian chef with a cheerful yellow color
Croque: I imagine that he's like the head chef and Cousteau is his apprentice and I love imagining interactions between them
Diva: I love her creative design, I wish we had more sisterly frogs. I don't understand why people hate her she's so pretty.
Drift: My favorite species of frog are Poison Dart Frogs and I absolutely love his tropical and punk rock themes he's totally my aesthetic so that's why he's my favorite
Emerald: BRING HER BACK I NEED HER
Frobert: I love his cute little teeth he's a silly guy
Gigi: She's a queen
Henry: I love how he looks like Lily and he's smug personality makes him such a charming frog... you could say he's a frog prince
Huck: I like how his design is rather unique compared to the others frogs and I love how his Animal Crossing e-reader card says he used to catch bugs with his tongue instead of a net.
Jambette: I think she's really pretty and cute. She was a joy to have around on my island, I'm sad she is one of the most hated villagers ever
Jeremiah: Sleepy blue frog
Lily: Fun fact, Lily actually used to be my favorite villager before I changed it to Drift in August or September of 2022. She's so adorable and sweet
Prince: I must admit I am not a fan of the facial hair but he's a frog none-the-less
Puddles: She's a pink happy frog what's not to love?
Raddle: He's also a poison dart frog and his doctor theme is interesting. Too bad I don't like Lazy villagers or I would appreciate Raddle a lot more
Ribbot: He's a robot frog and I think he's cool, he's also a jock and I love the jock villagers
Sunny: BRING HER BACK WITH EMERALD
Tad: His mouth is the cutest stinking thing! He's so adorable and he's a jock too!
Wart Jr.: He's a bumpy frog and I love him!

Hands DOWN! When will she come to my Island? I have no idea. XD I hope one day~!

I really find Coustou really cute!! I hope he comes to my island one day. He looks like fun~ Same with Drift~
I believe it was Pocket camp thats were I adores Lily a lot! I don't remember much, bu I know I had Puddles in New Leaf for a long time! Same wit Ribbot! I was so sad he left New Leaf, I put a sculpture where his house once was.
Tad and Raddle look super sweet too!

I dont know whose idea it was to give Prince a beard, but I fear Prince.

Give Jambette an tbt collectible! Let it sole focus on those lips! Gigi seems interesting too honestly. The others I can't say much on sadly.
