Who are the best (and worst) dog villagers and why? 🐕

I love all dog villagers so I can’t say I dislike any of them. In fact, I was gearing up to have only dog villagers on my island right before the Sanrio amiibo announcement, aha ^^;
I really wanted Walker to be my all time favorite dog villager, but I just love Butch the most as of now! He was one of the frequent villagers I’ve managed to get from Pocket Camp and New Leaf so I have fond memories of him. ^^

Lucky has always been one of my favorite villagers in general bc of his design(there's not enough monster-y/spooky villagers like him imo), although I never got to have him in a town until Welcome Amiibo. I also like Cherry, Biskit and Marcel.

I don't have a least favorite dog but other than the ones I mentioned I find the dog villagers pretty meh honestly. And this is coming from a dog person

For some reason I'm not too fond of the dog villager design. Maybe its the ears? I prefer dogs with pointy ears rather than floppy ears. Well anyway...

Best: Lucky and Shep
Lucky because of his spooky mummy theme and Shep because of he's a sheep dog with cool vibes.

Worst: Cherry and Benjamin
Just not a fan of either one.

BEST: Same as previously, Lucky and Shep. Same reasons as well. I don't like Lucky's shirt in New Horizons compared to New Leaf but he's still a cool mummy dog

WORST: Mac and still Cherry. I don't like Benjamin but he isn't as bad as Mac. Mac and I had bad blood in New Leaf. He refused to leave, I refused to accept that. I forgot to mention him last time because I sort of forgot about him at the time

justice for benjamin, he's not my favourite but he should still be on the poll!

as for the options available - my absolute favourite has to be lucky, i love his aesthetic. i think it was a clever design choice to have the one glowing eye poking out. honourable mentions would be butch and daisy.

but my favourite above him would have to be bow, the robot dog! i love him and meow the robot cat, i wish they were brought back but they were a collaboration so i have doubts. NPC-wise my favourite would be my angel serena!

the worst overall in my opinion is biskit, i know he's supposed to be a stuffed animal, but i'm sorry he's creepy and looks dead or possessed. plus his colour palette is unfortunate. mac is another one i strongly dislike, both because he's ugly and because he ruined my path in new leaf.

Biskit! I have her on my island! Her shirt is sooo cute, it's a cat with laser eyes. I was hesitant about Biskit at first, but I think she's really cute and great, plus she is always happy.

The worst dogs? Copper and Booker #ACAB

The dogs are a great villager type! You can't go wrong with any of them since they all have pretty great designs.
My favorite is Bow, but he's not in the poll or any newer games :[ (bring him back!) But I also like Shep. I like his little smile and it's cute how his hands and feet match his hair. The inside of his house is cozy too.
My least favorite is Cherry. Something's off-putting about the way her smile is only on one side of her face. I guess it doesn't bother me as much on the elephant villagers since their trunks are in the way. She's pretty cool besides that, though.

Once again, I don't think there are any "worst" villagers!

As for my favourite dog, it has to be Goldie! She was the first AC villager I ever met, so she has a special place in my heart!

There are lots of other cute dogs though. I like Cherry's design, and that she's sisterly.

Walker, Cookie, and Cherry are awesome.

I don't like how Biskit is orange, with green ears, and doesn't have any pupils...
He looks more like a toy for toddlers, or a dog toy.

I don't think there is a single dog villager that is bad.. I guess Benjamin is the worst of them but I like his unique look. I think Marcel and Biskit are my two very favorites! I also love Portia since she's a dalmatian, I just wish she had different eyes.

But no, seriously, pretty much all the dog designs are good imo, although the real standouts for me would be Cookie, Goldie, Daisy, and Shep. I love Cookie's big shiny eyes, and both Daisy and Goldie just seem like they'd be actual angels to be around. I like Shep's slightly non-standard design, and he seems like he'd be really chill to be around. Bea, Butch, Biskit, and Bones (why are there so many b-dogs...) are all really good dogs too.

If I must pick a worst dog... Marcel. I'm sorry, Marcel, you're still a good boy, you're just a little unsettling to look at.

I'm loving how split the votes for the dogs are! I have to say that the dogs are definitely one of my favourite villager species. Their models are so cute and I love so many of them. Choosing was a little hard, and this might change overtime but I voted for Daisy! I remember I was trying to choose between Goldie and Daisy back in New Leaf, and I ended up choosing Goldie. While I still adore Goldie, going just based off of designs I prefer Daisy. My taste changed over those few years and I just really love the soft look Daisy has with her facial features and colour palette. She was one of the first villagers I brought in since she was a former dreamie in NL, and I've enjoyed having her so much. She's one of the villagers I'm closest with in New Horizons as well which is super lovely.

My least favourite dog would be Cherry. I apologize to all the Cherry lovers out there, please don't come for me. I do like her aesthetic, but her face is something I never got quite used to and find somewhat off-putting. It's her eyes and mouth specifically for me.

The dog villagers are great . My favorites would be Bones , Goldie and Portia. If I had to pick a least favorite since all dogs are good it would be Cherry.

Cherry is my favorite dog villager, and Lucky is a close second.

My thoughts on each of the dog villagers:

Bea: She's cute. I like her realistic dog coloring and her eyes.

Benjamin: I'm not a big fan of the orange eyes and mouth or the fact that he has eyebrows.

Biskit: Biskit is cute, but I don't like the blank white eyes. I love his stripey green ears and tail though

Bones: I like the spot around his eye, but I feel like he's staring into my soul.

Butch: His coloring is great. I don't usually like villagers with eyebrows, but in this case they add to his expression, so I don't mind them. He's probably my third or fourth favorite dog.

Cherry: She was one of the original villagers on my island, and I really liked her. Her gothic appearance, earrings, teal eyes, the black spot around her eye, and her little smile that's off to the side are all great.

Cookie: I love her pink color, but her facial features aren't super interesting to me.

Daisy: I like her light yellow fur with purple accents, but I don't really like her scribbly eyes.

Frett: He's okay, but there's nothing special about him for me.

Goldie: She's cute. Her coloring is nice.

Lucky: My second favorite dog villager. He's a mummy dog with a glowing yellow eye. He has a fun design.

Mac: He has an interesting face and realistic coloring.

Maddie: I'm not a big fan of the triangular nose and all black eyes.

Marcel: I'm not really a fan of the green fur with the orange nose.

Portia: She's pretty cute. I like dalmatian's, so I like her design. A nice neutral villager.

Shep: I mentioned above that Butch is my third or fourth favorite dog, and Shep is the other contender. I love the fur covering his eyes, and I like sheepdogs in general.

Walker: Aside from the blue eyes, his appearance reminds me of a character from an old black and white cartoon. A nice classic design.

I went ahead and voted Goldie, but under duress. I love benjamin. He wears the outfits I give him for a long time. He's sweet.

Yes, he looks a bit like a sad, lost puppy. And yes, he is a bit cleanliness challenged. His house is full of bugs. His clothes have foodstains and who-knows-what all over them. And he sort of drives walt crazy.... but it's all in fun, and walt is cranky anyways.

Benjamin is a good doggo.

I really do love all of them, but Mac is my favorite dog and my favorite villager.

I've had Butch for a long time in New Leaf; I love my grumpy dog, so after for so long isn't as grumpy anymore. I never had Daisy until New Horizons and she is such a wonder. She liked nicknaming me food related words, so I am sure she liked me too. You know who else is a good boi who gets no attention? Marcel.
I love this guy so much. Give em to me. Cherry is also such a good gal, She's like that chaotic friend you have whose fun.

I would love to try Cookie, Benjamin, Biskit, Bea, and Shep.
I feel like the others are kinda meh, oh oh, and the old dogs we dont have any more. Megumi looks so adorable, I wish we had that style dog. Again Megumi was a peppy, and I need better peppys to choose from.
