I'm currently re-landscaping my town and one of the main things people advised me to do was come up with a colour scheme. So I have decided to use all white flowers, and have a few flower bed pwp with colourful hybrids in. I just think that white goes so well with the autumn colours and in winter.
But I need some help deciding what flower combinations to use. White cosmos look great so I'll use a lot of them but what others do you think go together nicely? And in what order e.g 2 cosmos then 1 tulip then 2 more cosmos etc
As far as white flowers go, there's lilies, roses, carnations, and tulips. The other white flowers are actually a light purple. White, light purple, and purple is a tried and true color combo. To see it in action, I'd visit the dream town of North (its popular, so just google it).
Since you're using white cosmos, you've already got a hint of yellow in your design, so you could use maybe yellow tulips or roses... I would do 1 yellow flower for every 10 white so it doesn't overwhelm your color scheme.
Another option you could go for is white and deep red (pansies, roses, carnations)-- red is a good autumnal color and it might work as a Christmas-y color for your winter season?
