which method is more efficient?

So cesar just moved into my town @#$/^&*???! And i wanna get him out of my town ASAP! but which TT method is more efficient and less risky? Should i TT one day forward or 2 days forward then 2 days backward? And do villagers who are in thwir house have a chance to ping to leave once they're out and when you reset the game?

I don't know what you mean by your second question.

Any TT method is going to be efficient and it just depends on what you prefer. People are going to give you advice like ignoring villagers or talking to them a lot but it's really just random.

The TT method I use goes year by year and it's very save, since you normally only use a new character when you're going forward and when you TT forward with your mayor, you've just denied a ping so nobody will move during that "year". I can explain it in detail if you want.

The riskier of the two methods is to TT forward one day at a time. Sure, it's not necessarily as efficient as going two days at a time, but you won't regret it once you load up the game and a favorite villager is trying to move.

Though, for extra efficiency, I would recommend doing this:
TT forward one day at a time and make sure you check all your villagers for moving rumors/pings. If you find out a villager that isn't Cesar is trying to move away, talk to them and tell them to stay. After this, no matter how far ahead you time travel, no other villagers will move out. Meaning you can TT about 4 days ahead to effectively and quickly continue the process.

If you hear a rumor about a villager you like moving and they don't ping you (they won't tell you if you go up and talk to them), just save and quit then reload the game and find them again. It shouldn't take long for them to ping you.

Here's a method I always use to get a villager out.
Start it on the day someone pings you to move. If it's someone you dont wanna lose, tell them to stay.

1. After you denied your villager s moving request, save and quit. (you can play through the say but don't go to next day).
2. Start up your game and TT 6 days forward. Load up, save and quit immediately.
3. Load the game again and TT 6 days backwards this time. (back to the same date)
4. Someone else will ping you about moving! If it's not Cesar, start again from step 1.

If you don't get a ping on step 4, talk to every villager to see who's thinking about moving. This works almost 100% of the time so there will be a villager planning to move. Dont TT until you get the ping or absolutely sure that no one's moving. If no one's moving, you may TT 1 day forward and check for pings.

I also wanted to note that last villager that moved in would have the least chance of moving away. It is possible but super rare. So try it after another villager or two had moved in your town?
