For me, I travel back 1 year and 5 days save quit
travel forward 1 year save quit
then travel forward 5 days and I ALWAYS have someone in boxes and 1 new villager no TT accidents yet!

Does anyone have a quicker way with only 2 save/quits? Curious!

I TT two days forward, two days back to get rid of unwanted villagers. ^^ The only time I've had a time traveling accident was when I was recklessly TT'ing to get Spork out of my town. RIP in peace Ankha

It's impossible for it to work similarly with only two saves and quits.
I do it by going one year forward, then another year, then five days. I believe it works like this:
TT #1: Villager moves out.
TT #2: Game prepares another villager to move in, and has a villager start thinking of moving.
TT #3: It's been five days, which means the villager has had enough time to get up and out of town. It also means that the other villager has had the time to move in.

If it was only two TT's, it wouldn't be able to work the same way.

ah gotcha, I thought I saw someone post 2 saves and quits but im probably mistaken, I used to do it your way but it was getting annoying when I got to the max year to have to go all the way back, with the way I use now I am always ending on November 25th 2013 to finish my "cycle"

yeah the way you described is definitely the safest way, ive never lost anyone in the crossfire that way lol and have only messed up while cycling when i was really sick and out of it

I do it that way and only messed up when I miscounted the number of times I had time travelled. It was a villager I was going to move to my town anyway so it wasn't that big of a deal. I haven't cycled much since. :/
