What are some things that make you guys want to quit playing AC?

For me, the main thing is not being able to play the game when I want to. I've had several experiences lately of not playing for just one or two days and unexpectedly losing villagers. Marcel moved with no word (thankfully I didn't want him, but still) and today I go on after ONE STINKIN' DAY of not playing and Ankha went into boxes. Again, no notice. I wanted her to stay. The fact that the game sucks you in to playing daily pretty much forever (unless you don't care about losing villagers) is a horrible feature. I know there are ways to take breaks, but you -still- have to play until a villager pings to move and you say no, etc.

This is enough to make me want to quit. I've spent so much time and money perfecting my two towns just to spend a day or two off of them and lose villagers. All my hard work is down the drain. It sucks majorly.

Anything that makes you guys want to quit AC forever?

Once villagers start leaving without me knowing, I get frustrated and stressed. I haven't played in so long either because of on going work and school work, this makes me just give up trying unfortunately D:

What I do is when a villager pings me to move you reject them and you go on playing as long as you want and no one will move! Or you can always TT back to the day you first started like you saved and quit on the 16th and now it's the 20th you just TT back to the 16th and no one should have moved and nothing should have changed! And a thing that frustrates me is plot resetting -.-

I hate it when this happens. Its really discouraging, especially if its a villager that you really like :/

I've played this game for a loong while, taking breaks and such and I still don't understand how people lose villagers that way. What I always de when I haven't played in a while is loading with a new character on the day I decide to play again and check everyone to check if they're in boxes or plain missing. and if I find someone, I tt back to the day when I last played or the next and the ping me instantly.

I guess this is a hidden negative about making perfect towns with perfect villagers in perfect placements. >.< I know a few people who stopped playing out of fear, since they were away for so long, just knowing that their amazing town will be messed up if they return, or someone they love will move out.

I play casually and my town isn't pretty, but I don't have that kind of fear

Its annoying when I forget to turn my best friend message chat off and then people start saying hi and I feel I shouldn't turn it off and im busy and then they want to come over and gets annoyingn

Yeah, same here. I really don't like how the game punishes you for not playing for a while. I know there are ways of making sure you don't lose a villager like making a new character or writing down the day you last played and what not, but honestly, I play for fun; I shouldn't have to worry about such things.

All the fluffy, pink, kawaii towns and seeing the same Tier 1-2 dreamies in every single freaking one of them makes me want to quit. Also grass deterioration. I'm dealing with it my town right now cause the grass near Lucky's house won't grow since Cookie is his neighbor and spends are all her time pacing in his garden.

Yes but have you considered the fact that people wanted their towns like that?There are limits in this game and you can only be so creative with your town.I personally find forest towns and nintendo themed towns far worse than any others.

I haven't been playing AC as much because of sports and school but what I do is just remember the last day I played and then TT back to that day so I don't lose anyone.

I dont play acnl much, I got most of what I wanted done in the game, I only "play" acnl to do trade or use my cycle town for villagers ;o;, just so I dont lose villagers I always tt back to the same day I left on

Yes, I have actually, but just because they choose to decorate their town like doesn't mean I'm not allowed to be annoyed by it. And I really, really disagree with you. There is so much people could do with this game if they chose to think outside of the box. To me, it just looks like players keep going back to the kawaii stuff cause they know it works and they know how it's done. Nothing wrong with that. But again, I am more than allowed to be annoyed by it.

When I loose a dreamie I just suck it up because I know that I can get them back some day but te thing that would make me stop forever is if some how my town got messed up or if my town's file was deleted ;_;

I've had my town since I bought the game. That's almost 3 years. Losing my town would probably make me quit playing. Sure I could get it all back with some more time, but it's the emotional investment that really counts.
