Winter Mittens
new leaf is hands down the most addictive and entertaining animal crossing game i have played yet. i have played it hours upon hours. everything about new leaf is fabulous.

but every game has it's expiration date..

when do you think new leaf will start to be boring to you? has it already become boring in your eyes? what have you done to ensure that you won't become bored?

for me, personally, i can only play an AC game for like, a month, at most before getting bored and then taking a break from it for a couple months. but so far, i've been playing new leaf for a few months and i'm still going strong!
but i have felt the occasional boredom, and have said to myself "okay.. now what?" more than once. luckily, i've discovered the key to staying addicted (at least in my case) : a constant goal.

as long as i'm working towards something non stop, i'm goood. (:

Hmmm...You make a very good point...I think this one is going to last awhile for me. I really want to get through the whole year, Fall and Winter and all the awesome holidays. Plus I still am searching for my dream villagers and I want to make my town the best it can be. So, let's just say I'll be occupied for a while.

2017. City Folk = 4 years, so New Leaf should be around the same. But I'm growing up, so I might get bored quicker. I don't really know as of now, though.

I already feel like checking in on my town has become a chore and trying to get a golden watering can is tedious since I don't TT. I don't really feel like the villagers are really a fun part of the game. Making money and decorating my house are what's kind of fun so maybe I'm just growing up but I still play hours everyday so it will take me a while. Maybe I'll forget about it when I go off to college.

Today I barely played New Leaf. I hope to get more hours into it tomorrow because I get T.I.Y! Yay!

I'll admit, so far New Leaf to me is a bit slow at the moment. I'll only play a few hours a day now. Even when I have a lot of free time. I'm sure by October, though, things should pick up again when there'll be more holidays and events.
I'm hoping to at least get through the entire year, playing once per day when possible, before I get bored of the game.
I have other games in between to keep the anticipation up, too.

Yeah, I definitely want to at least get through a whole year. I love it, it's so fun. Like OP said, as long as there's something to work towards, I don't think I'll ever be bored.

That's essentially what's keeping me going as well. Since the beginning, I purposely slowed down my progress through some of the elements of the game for the sole reason that I felt I might burn out too quickly.

Right now, I still feel like I have a mountain of work to do before I'm completely satisfied with my town, and that's what makes me open the game up every day. I really want to be able to play the game for at least an entire year, since I've never been able to do that in past AC games.

City Folk got boring for me after... 2 years? I'll be playing this for a while now that I'm old enough to understand it. Plus, my sister wants to play it soon too, so we won't get bored all that easily.. \(^o^)/

It's only boring because nothing is happening..

I'm only bored because I'm lonely so I'm just doing repetitive things: PWP trick, laying paths and making PWP.

It's not just that I might get bored, but I may become busier. The free time I'll have might go towards other games instead in my free time as well. I imagine I'll feel like playing it significantly less sometime during winter.

i love the game and theres sooo much i want to do

- - - Post Merge - - -

i love collecting the fossils and make them mini, trying 2 breed flowers and collect the sets i like,i dont think ill b bored for a long long time X)

Im just waiting to grow some hybrids to place along my nonexistent paths yet

I normally get bored of games after a few weeks, but I have been playing ACNL for nearly two months and I'm not bored of it at all, I even make sure I get a couple of hours play each night so I can water my flowers and go to the island and make some money. The only thing I'm getting bored of is the flowers, I can never grow the hybrids I want.

I don't think it'll get boring for awhile. So far I am still trying to unlock the Nook Emporium, I want Katrina's fortune shop, and I want to unlock the police station for my town and make a bunch of other public works projects. I want to have a "perfect" town for 15 days so I can unlock the golden watering can, and I am trying my hand at hybreeding flowers. So I think the game will be fun for awhile. I think it'll start getting boring once I get Pokemon X/Y because then I'll have a new game to play.

Not gonna lie.. As soon as I started TTing for Dream Villagers I got a little bored. Time Travel is tedious but the game is still as addictive as it was before. I'm hoping to at least play throughout fall and winter because they are gorgeous seasons.
I want to create a town that people can visit via dream suite and fall in love with.
After I have accomplished that goal, I'll probably spend the rest of my free time (college is coming up soon) giving out villagers whenever I can.
Sadly I see myself putting down the game for a long while because I really want to stay focused in college.

Ill be playing less when college starts, need to study hard and do well in my A Levels
will still play it for like 30 minutes a day though :)
it wont get boring though, as theres always a new PWP to be built, and i need to prevent certain villagers moving
