When to be nice...

So, i'm sure all-- (Err.... most of us) Prefer being nicey nice to everyone right? But even for little goody two shoes, there's a time where being nice just doesn't get your point through.

So my question is... When is the time to be nice, and when is the time to be mean?

I'm nice to people most of the time. The only time I'm mean to someone is if I keep telling someone to do something and they just keep fooling around. I guess I'm not really mean then...it's more like being stern instead of happy-go-lucky.

Anyway, Be kind to people who have not harmed you and be mean to people who have insulted you or has just failed badly and need a beating/shouting.
