When a Tarantula (or Scorpion) Strikes...

How is it you end back at your house?

There have been a handful of times where a tarantula or scorpion is in or near flowers and I don't see them, and they scare the life out of me bite me, and I end up back at my house, and I just wonder how we get there? Like how funny would it be if the village grump came up to a passed out you and went "well, they failed, again. might as well get them home"

I don't know, I'm just avoiding sleep at this point.


Yes I realise that this is a game and that the idea of starting back at your house is like restarting at a checkpoint but I can't help but wonder how you get back?

(I know when the screen restarts and blah blah blah but still, I think it's be funny/cute to imagine your villager(s) dragging you back to your house)

there's a whole legion of tarantulas. they slowly lift your mayor up with their small bodies, and skedaddle over to the front of your door

then they gently lay you down in a field of flowers that is probably relatively close to your front door before hurrying off to another town

i can confirm this 100%. my nintendo works at dad

my theory is that the cranky villagers argue they should leave u there but the normal villagers convince the jocks to drag ur sorry butt home c': then the snooty villagers spread the gossip that u failed many times at catching them :'(

i imagine all the nearby villagers seeing you passed out on the ground and carrying you home but they don't have the key to your house and they don't want to rummage through your pockets so they just leave you there

I really want to believe that instead of the bug doing it maliciously, they get scared and sense they don't know any better they just attack you. Then I feel like the bug is just sitting there with this irrevocable guilt looming over them, so they call their bug buddies and they drag you back to your respected home.

I've always wondered who drags me home after I get bit and pass out. I even went as far as talking to all the villagers soon after to see if any of them ever say anything. I can't help but imagine one of them rolling their eyes and muttering "this crap again" as they drag me home.

Or, hear me out, maybe Resetti has an intricate series of underground tunnels, comes up out of the earth below and drags us through his elaborate labyrinth of Chuck E. Cheese-esque tubing. Then he unceremoniously dumps us outside our door. He'd bring us inside, but he's still angry at us for all those times we quit without saving. Sad I only got bitten 3 times, its been long since the last time I got bitten. And I think an angel brings you back from the dead, because, if you got bitten from a tarantula or a scorpion you'll be dead from that. And I know it matters what kind of tarantula it has to be to kill you from a bite.

I like when I get bitten from those bugs in acnl, its funny.

Perhaps the fact that your house is your spawn point, and when you pass out, you spawn there. Just like a normal regular video game would.

If you have all your Pokemon faint, you spawn at the last Pokemon Center you healed your Pokemon at.

If you touch a checkpoint flag in Mario, and you die, you spawn near the checkpoint.

If you have a house, and a bug makes your character pass out, you spawn at your house.

It works like a game, yet, this game has no lives. But some games don't have lives.

You get what i'm saying?

revenge for what?? catching them?? the thought of one (1) tarantula just showing up at my front door and knocking and going "hey punk. i know you're in there. Where Is My Brother" is really funny to me tbh
