My town is named Tirisfal Glades because of my undying love and devotion to the Banshee Queen, Leader of the Forsaken and Undying, Sylvanas Windrunner.
As for meee, my town name is Cerise. French for Cherry, after a 3 hour "What do I name my town?" crisis. Didn't even think that I could possibly get a different town fruit than cherry, luckily I ended up with cherries as my main fruit. No lookin foolish for me
My town's called Mobius, after the land in Sonic the Hedgehog universe. I thought it would be clever since all the villagers are anthropomorphic animals like most of the characters in Sonic the Hedgehog...But now I know a ton of other people have named their towns that too XD
Ougonkyo because Umineko (wanted to do Rokkenjima but lel character limits)
also when/if AC Wii U happens I'll probably go Higurashi themed with that one, though I haven't completely decided on a town name for it yet (Oyashiro maybe? assuming Nintendo doesn't finally increase the character limit to something more reasonable, but if they do then Hinamizawa)
It used to be Leo from Polaris (because they're both astronomy related and because I'm a Leo) but chenged it to Atsuya from Toyonaka. Atsuya is my middle name and my mom grew up in Toyonaka, Osaka (in Japan).
It doesn't make a whole lot of sense as a name, but I wanted a town name that sounded...earthy and natural? I wish we could rename our towns without having to restart. But then my town name would probably be changing weekly.
It's a little something I choose to remind myself of this utterly unforgettable flash MMO, Glitch
It is from one of the location in the game, Callopee,
the cave/mining area where I *first* entered the game, and experienced the infamous wire frames with flash crashes, because of a street project involving a LOT of player all crammed into one area. XD
Originally I want to use my fav street in the game, Marlan Bias in Alakol, but then I discover the character limits.
When the game forever closed its door in 2012,
I (secretly) ugly cried for a week. ;__;
mine's Moon Bay. I got the idea from the name of an island in Massachusetts, I don't remember what it was but it sounded pretty and somehow I got that name out of it.
When I was little, I visited a beautiful, forested town. We picked fruit off trees, ate sweet homemade jams, went trout fishing, and ate chocolate covered quandongs (native australian fruit). It was just such a lovely town with a river running through it and flowers everywhere. I was convinced that the name of this town was Berry, so I named my AC town after it!
I found out recently however that I had mixed up the names and the town I was referring to wasn't Berry, lol. I still like the name though
Lapidis:
I asked around on TBT with three name ideas when I was restarting my town (I was unhappy with the layout and gave away my dreamies/good villagers) and Lapidis was the winner.
Конура:
I wanted a cool name for my second town, so I went to google translate. I planned this town to be five cats and five dogs, so I decided to call it "kennel". After looking up kennel in like 7 languages I decided that Конура (said "Konura") was the prettiest.
Te Aroha:
This town I originally planned to be all sheep, because Te Aroha is Maori, which is native to my home. Te Aroha is Maori for "love" or "to love". Very cute, IMO.
Tsch?ss:
This was my first cycling town, and I decided to give it a fitting name. Tsch?ss is the German equivalent to "See Ya" or "So long". I named it this because you know... Cycling. I like the name a lot .
Adieu:
This is my second cycling town. If you donno what "adieu" means I'll shake my head. XD
It's Roost.
Not because of the cafe, but because it is a town full of avian villagers. I thought it was fitting. I love my town name, even if Brewster beat me too it.
Named after Athena the Greek Goddess. It had nothing to do with the fact that as I was restarting I was reading the Percy Jackson books. I do like Greek mythology on it's own though. And Disney's Hercules might weigh in a little too.
