What’s your top issue with ACNH?

I have quite a bit of issues with this game, some which are because of the way Nintendo decided to make stuff released overtime.
One big issue is that gold tools SHOULD be indestructible. Since they aren't I'm not even gonna waste my gokd nuggets on them.

But I think my biggest issue is the pro design system. WHY CAN'T I CHOOSE SLEEVES? Why are some the dress shapes so bad? Why does Pocket Camp still have better variety in dress shapes? There are balloon hem dresses with long sleeves, there are hoodies with no sleeves, both of these are actual clothes in game, so why can't I choose my sleeves? I also really dislike the shape of the short sleeved dress, it sucks for making overalls, I hate that the skirt goes out. I see people use coats to make overalls which is creative, but again I take issue with the sleeves. I don't always want overalls with a long sleeved undershirts. I also hate the shape of the one no sleeved dress. It looks like a pear. I've seen people make really creative stuff with it but I still hate the shape.

Also I know people keep comparing a freemium game to a full-fledged 60$ game, and the reason it feels 'incomplete' is the way Nintendo decided to release stuff in waves. But there are dress types in PC (example, in the recent wedding event there was this mermaid shaped dress, tight in the body and waist while flowy only towards the very bottom) that aren't in this game. With a summer event there was the bikini stuff. This stuff was around well before NH came out. We don't have bikini stuff in this game.

The color locking. In order to get colors you actually want, you have to trade for them which requires an online subscription that you pay for.

Also, a lot of talking in this game. They just go on and on and on......

I think my top issues would be the long process we have to go through when visiting other islands! And i wish we had more design slots ><

the repetitive dialogue is the main for me.
also crafting/buying 1 item at a time is really annoying. and finally, when i want to give my villagers a new clothing item i have to go home to take it out of storage and to the villager 😭

The islands are to small (my personal opinion) and Isabel seems why to pushy about fences and packing the island to the brim with items.
I just want a small rural town with few decorations except for the plaza/festival area, people's yards (which most of mine have very little items), and an outdoor café for tourists to enjoy local cuisine.
To try to appease Isabel, I did make a secret campsite (apart from the actual campsite in game) and did a little more decorating for my own yard.
I just really don't care for fences much and there are not really enough items that I like and really want to put on my island.

I really hate auto-save. Let me go back to a previous save! I hesitate to try out new ideas because if I don’t like it I will have to waste time undoing everything I just did. Especially when terraforming.

I can think of multiple things on top of my head like the villager dialogue, breakable tools, lack of furniture, there’s no other npc’s in the game like Katarina, Brewster, and Dr. Shrunk, and having to select Nook Mile Ticket at the Nook Mile store one at a time. But if I were to choose between one of them, I would choose having better villager dialogue. I remember when villagers were more interactive with you, when they asked for quests that I thought were suuper fun! Now the villagers in this game are just... boring. I rarely talk to my villagers and I feel like Animal Crossing now revolves on building your town instead of getting to know your villagers and interacting with them.

Yeah, echoing others have said, the tools breaking thing is super annoying. especially when you're out trying to collect resources.

Personally, for me it feels like as if villagers in this game are more presented as cute looking puppets rather than characters who actually interact with you. Not sure if it's because I don't reach high friendship levels with any of them yet or so (if this would change anything about the way their behave towards you), but compared to how they acted in previous games, they had even more depth in New Leaf and here I thought their dialogue sucks as well as personalities being too watered down. Now they are so boring and partially lame, even if you find your favorite villager, said fave makes you happy for a moment until you don't care for them and moving on to the next villager. I remember how happy I was when I got an villager I really wanted and while I still get happy whenever I get a fave in NH, it's not as special to me as it use to be (not sure how I can explain this better)? Sure, they now doing more activities in this title than back then, which is nice and all, however, if you talk to them, it feels so... Strange and kinda cold, as if you actually talk to a puppet. Some villagers already getting annoyed for no reason if you talk with them a second time, they don't invited you anymore to come over to their house or ask if they can visit you... I never even had a villager asking me to deliver something to another villager (is this even a thing in this game?). Not sure if I do something wrong and just need to care more about them, I mean I do my best to become friends with them and such, yet I don't know... It's actually bothers me so much to a point where I don't talk with my villagers for days because I know I get a short sentence about something random and that's it.

Also, Labelle probably became the most lamest NPC ever, they could have done so much more with her. I must say I liked her more when she still worked together with Gracie and also had her own section at the Able Sister's shop.

please i want more custom design slots. i don't want the trouble of making a second character on the island just to have double the slots. i want an expansion on the slots please. there's so many good custom designs that i want to have but can't because i don't have spaceee

This past week I have 2 main gripes....

1. House and Buildings
Why are they all the same? In New Leaf you could have a mansion, a castle, an Asian-styled house, a modern house... the houses were very different shapes, *and* you could customize even the smallest house, with many more doors and sidings, not to mention roof designs.

In NH, first, you *have to* upgrade almost to full size before you can change the siding. The color is tied to the house style -- and there's only 4 similar styles with the exact same roof, only solid roof colors, and limited doors.

I'm really hoping for a big housing patch, because it is severely limiting. You can't choose room placement... you can't choose room size... you can't customize a small house... all the options are the same shape... and the doors and sidings don't even match well. There's a bright pink iron door that goes with absolutely nothing, and all the other doors are in the most muted and random shades.

Also, no customization yet for RS, the airport, or museum and only 2 other placeable buildings. And the campsite is ugly when not in use. I don't mind the deck, but the rest is an eyesore.

2. I started to tinker with custom pro designs and while it's not bad, I'm a bit disappointed that New Leaf designs don't seem to work and that a short skirt/long sleeve dress isn't an option. Put a bit of a wrench in some plans I had.
(Custom socks/leggings and pants would be great, too.)

And yes! More slots!

Not even a second character will get you more slots. 😭 Have 5, and no extra slots. They are shared.

-Bulk crafting
-Buying stuff in bulk of whatever quantity we want
-Buy multiple clothes in the same category without having to re-enter the change room

The game has a lot of potential to be much batter than it is. Get on with it, Nintendo!

1) Definitely more “bluk” features in regards to crafting/buying
2) I wish exterior customization wasn’t connected to House upgrades. Like, just let me have an adorable one room cottage please?? Let me paint it cute??
3) BREWSTERRRRRRR

I also really want my shrunk dance back. I had high hopes the last emotion was going to be that because I was missing the last slot for what was forever...but it just turned out to be mischief. :(

My biggest annoyance with ACNH is the updates themselves.
I was so stoked to hear we were getting 2-3 years of updates in ACNH when it was first announced pre-release. I had images of constant events like Pocket Camp in my mind, with a flow of new furniture and events coming in near weekly. But these updates are immensely underwhelming. Each month we get 1/6th the furniture of Pocket Camp, added to a game that started with at best 40% the items of it's predecessor.

This added to the huge amount of content they cut from the game only to introduce later just infuriates me more the longer it's been since release. If we knew back in Feb/March that we would be waiting until August for the Dream suite, and that over half of the buildings and landmarks from New Leaf would still be missing from ACNH after 6 months I'd have been asking for the release date to just be put back to 2023 with no updates.

You might be thinking I'm mad just about the content though. But that's just a portion of the picture, because what gets to me most is that this was many of my friends first Animal Crossing game after I've raved about it for years. And now not one of them is still playing the game, they have moved on and they don't even realise how much there is that they haven't had a chance to experience. And I don't think many of them will be revisiting the game in any serious manner in the future now.

1. Not being able to craft items, especially like fish bait, in bulk
2. Being able to undo/kick away your custom pathing when NOT in designer mode
3. Not having indestructible golden tools

edit: typo

Honestly, I have two issues with the game:

1. There really needs to be 'multiple amount' recipes; like fish bait (5) at the cost of 6 clams, etc.
2. Campsite visitors are FAR too rare. I'm lucky to get one a week.
