What's your lucky %100 (well... almost all of the time) full-proof technique to catch Pokemon?

Mine is... Whenever I'm trying to catch a really rare Pokemon or one I really want I'll cross my fingers and toes :)

I just use reverse psychology on myself. I usually think that I won't catch it, then I end up catching it.

There really isn't any way to 100% catch a Pokemon, since it's programmed to be random. The different Pokeballs have a better chance of the random capture to successfully capture, so an Ultra Ball will increase the chances of catching the Pokemon by x1.5. At least that's what I believe, but don't quote on me at that :P .

When I was little I would always tap the crap out of the A Button whenever I tried to catch a Pokemon, and normally I wouldn't capture it. xP .

I think she didn't really want an explanation, though. This is merely for social fun.

I just don't want this turning into another argument thread.

I do cross my fingers and toes when I encounter Bidoof, since I always catch Bidoof when I see them.

It's fine. Prevention is effective when applied early. :P

What about during specific pok

hold down the a button, then press right left right as the pokeball does it, and then finally down for the actually catching part.

OMG thats how i did it for blue and then changed to just holding A+Down for the 3rd gen and ever since!!

But i sometimes show the wild Pok

I hold down the A button right before the pokemon goes into the ball.
It doesn't work, but it feels like it does when I time it right. o_O

A+B Down is my way of it

Though I caught a scyther without even touching it with A+B up, so i guess I will be changing my methods :E

And Ultra Balls have a catch rate of 2x, not 1.5x. Great Balls are 1.5x.

Is it bad that I actually looked that up so I could catch pokemon more efficiently?
