What's the point of clans?

It's not like you can compete in team mode, like SSB, can you?

I just think some of the key facts about the how the game works should be taken into account when forming groups. :|

Wait, I don't think you undestand... Mario Kart DS clans are made so that the people part of them can show that they're the best, or just be friends or whatever. We could combine our win-loss ratios and compare them to other people, and see who's the better Mario Karter.

And YES, there will be a team mode in Vs, Battle, etc.
