What's the one thing you hate the most about the Gamecube version

I disliked the limited storage space, and having to go all the way back to your house to save. The GameCube towns seemed the biggest, and most confusing to navigate. I've even gotten lost in my own town sometimes as a little kid.

Oh yeah, and everyone in the game had a mean side. Even the normals. They said some pretty harsh things sometimes, and the now-cheerful and sweet peppies were kind of rude and pretty obnoxious in the GC version.

Let me see if I can remember...

As has certainly been mentioned a billion times, the storage was very lacking.

I recall the fossil identification being a big pain the butt. Like mailing them out instead of Blathers being able to identify them.

Villagers going into igloos was always incredibly annoying because other villagers would still expect you to run errands to them, but you can't deliver them because villagers in igloos have no such interactions. =/

I still really enjoy playing the GameCube version every now and then ^^
I agree though, the storage space was too small. Having to walk back to your house to save didn't really come off as an annoyance to me until I started comparing it to the New Leaf saving method xD I really didn't like how the characters looked. I kept restarting my game before really getting into it until I got a character design that I liked. I didn't really like the hats either :/
I still love the game though and am super happy with the progress Animal Crossing has made over the years ^^

Nothing really bugged me. I didn't like that I couldn't take off the hat. But that's about it.
Storage wasn't an issue for me, I could care less about the grid. I loved the balls you could find around town and kick around! I didn't know people hated that.

To be honest, I didn't really like the birthday system. Not so much because you get a cake from your Mom and a NES from one of the villagers, but because you may not get birthday recognition from the villager you are closet to, while you may from villagers you bully. It wasn't as realistic as it is in WW, CF, and NL.
I always thought getting birthday recognition (or any for that matter) was a reward of friendship, so I am really glad the birthday system was improved in the later games.

Well, this is from my experience. I am pretty sure a lot of people has getting a NES game or a letter from their closet friend, but on the flip side, their are people who haven't.

I can only name one thing? :(

My introduction to Animal Crossing was Wild World. I missed out on the Gamecube version so imagine my shock as to how small it was compared to Wild World. But I'd say the number one thing I hate is lack of online play in the original version. It's hard, when you keep playing it to this day, to get items you want for your house when multiplayer is used by bringing memory cards to people's houses and putting them into their Gamecubes.

how there were minimal personalities. There are two more now but I'd love if more were created come the next version of animal crossing and even the possibility of 15 villagers or more again.

Speaking of a few older features I'd like to see returned: The town segmented up into acres when looking at the map, Sale Day the Friday after Thanksgiving (with more items in the Grab Bags) and the Cherry Blossom, Bright Nights and Flower Festivals

Never played the Gamecube version but the low-resolution textures bugs me. Wish they bumped up the resolutions when porting it from the N64 to GC.

After replaying the original for a bit, the only thing I can complain about is that camera shifting between acres. It gives me a headache. How did younger me deal with that for so long? lol

At least some funny glitches are caused by them. There were videos on youtube about villagers that literally got stuck between two acres and couldn't escape.

I hated the acre system, too. It was so irritating to watch, especially if you were moving quickly. Although, I really miss having a post office as a separate building and the 15 villager maximum.

I liked the size, but it was a little confusing getting around with the sliding of the grid. I like seamless world

A few of the emotion animations, they look so off to me since Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City was my first game.
