What's the one thing you hate the most about the Gamecube version

Hmm... Well the lack of storage space was kind of troublesome, and I can see where the Nookington's upgrade requiring someone visit was a problem (wasn't a good idea, but I had an extra memory card/town so I had little problem with this). I didn't like how easy it was for villagers to move away.

I'm not sure if I liked or disliked how villager homes used to stay the same no matter what. It prevent nice homes from being ruined, but at the same time ugly homes were stuck that way (then again most of the villager I liked had good homes). I didn't really like the horned hats/pointy hat that they forced us to wear. I'm glad it's no longer a forced feature, but a relic of the past AC games, just one of the things that made it quirky. There's probably more to list, but I can't recall much at the moment.

I heard that villagers can steal items from you. Is that true? I never played this Animal Crossing before so I'm not sure.

Yes, they will take a rare item away from you without your permission.

They also like to color your roof a different color.

What a bunch of jerks..

I didn't really like that when you walked the camera would jump to the next acre of land. I like how it flows better in the newer games. I also don't like that villagers will paint your roof randomly if you talk to them sometimes.

I did find the igloo games funny though. I like how if you picked the right option they would say "Oh you want the first card card?" lol I actually played this game for a year to see all of the different events and it made me love Animal Crossing.

Going back, I felt like my Game Cube town was too big. It took me a long time to make my rounds and find the villagers I needed. I do remember that being frustrating for me at the time, but it seemed so much worse going back. Am I just out of practice, can we just move faster now, or is the town now actually smaller?

The GameCube towns are indeed the largest, at a whopping 30 acres. New Leaf towns only have 20 acres, according to Nookipedia. In addition, New Leaf towns are all on one level (except for the beach), so it's quicker to navigate around. But the bigger towns on GameCube do make sense when you consider it didn't have online play. So the extra space (and extra villagers) kept you busier and gave you more to do. Personally, I prefer the bigger towns--although I might not feel that way if I had 30 acres of flowers to water. :D

Thank you for that. I thought it was more than just the levels since some of the later games had that as well. At the time I played, I don't remember watering flowers. Can you imagine? I don't know if I'd like a bigger town just for the space and the PWPs, but I would like more villagers so if the extra space came with them that would be fine!

I don't like the fact that when you move to a different acre, the camera moves. auggg why not scrolling like the other games wwwhwyyy

Storage Space but I Liked this game because it's more of an challenge and Resetti was really funny and not turn to a Family Friendly character and also switching to an old town's memory card was fun because you could just explore that town without the other player's permission and the acre system made the world feel bigger and the island had villagers and the MUSIC BEST EVER! oh and NES Games

I was actually thinking of trying the GC version (I hear it had a lot of charm and I'm a huge fan of the series, so why not).
But I had no idea there were so many cons about it (no changing hair/hat, no choice of keeping villagers, etc). I'd probably pull my hair out with it.

Get The Game!

It's a Really good game! (better than AC:CF and AC:WW) some people don't talk about the pro's about AC:GC because their so spoiled with NL (Same thing with some people that love sims 3 & 4 but hate sims 1 & 2 for no reason) But NL is a good game but one thing that can't come close to the GC Version is the music really good music

Maybe Try it out somewhere if you can.

I loved everything except the fact that the map was divided in small acres so it made running around town kind of annoying...

Dressers can't store much, the way the screen moves when you're in a different acre (after awhile it just starts to bug me), having to mail fossils to get them identified, no warning when a villager is going to move, etc. The music and the holiday events make up for it, though, and this is still my favorite Animal Crossing game. c:

edit: Aaaand, another thing that bothered me was that you couldn't take off your hat... Q.Q

Forced to wear a hat.
Dressers could only fit three things ugh.

I second all of it!!

And the fact that he e+ version was Japan exclusive, so even fewer people knew about, say, Jakoten, than knew about, say, Emerald.

It appears that almost everyone are saying that dressers have very small space and I definitely agree. I'm so glad that we don't have this in the future games. I also didn't like that you can't store larger items or living things.

I couldn't place wallpaper or flooring in the basement... I don't want my basement to look like some kind of dungeon.

I've owned the game for like 8 years and not once has a villager painted my roof
