What's the one thing you hate the most about the Gamecube version

I HATED:
* Washing Gracie's car. I swear it was rigged.
* Not ever being able to take off your viking or cone hat. Or change your hair at all.
* Animals sometimes would trade one of your items without asking you. Keeping valuable items in your pocket was a bad idea.
* Villagers move out at random, no way to keep the ones you like
* Not really being able to build extra bridges. Except 1 that Tortimer helps with.

Having no storage space wasn't a huge issue for me. I wasn't a hoarder like I am in the newer games.

Oh god I hated that.
Makes the villagers complete and utter jerks too, since they won't let you decide.

In addition to that, I also hate it when they force give items that you don't want, even when you say no. They still do this in New Leaf. If I don't want it, THEN WHY GIVE IT TO ME?! (no TBT members, I'm not looking at you).

I wish there was an option where you can say "YOU'RE FORCING ME!" in all-caps. This may make the animals angry, but at least you don't have to take the items.

^^^^^^

One thing I really didn't like was how cramped the houses were...

Just the player houses, I mean...

I also love watching the presents in the sky simply fly by, maybe hit by the occasional tree.
Anyone else?

The only part I disagree with is the storage space. That really, really annoyed me. Luckily we had basements... which couldn't really be designed so.

This is probably just because I'm used to these things in New Leaf now, but I despised the storage space (as many others have said) and the mailing of fossils to get them identified. I like how quickly things can be done in New Leaf.

I might be one of the few who actually appreciated the grid system in the original game as it made it easier to calculate what is needed for a perfect town rating. I have a harder time with it in the new games.

I started with New Leaf, so to say that GC was a culture shock to me is an understatement. I hated pretty much everything about it, but the thing I hated the most was the acre system. The way the camera scrolled made me physically ill, and what made it worse was having to run to my gyroid to save. To be honest, the only thing I liked was the retro TV.

That doesn't sound good. If you started out with New Leaf, it is for the best that you don't go backwards.

Yeah... I actually did try Wild World and liked it, but got bored with it quickly due to the lack of Wi-Fi. Never tried City Folk, but I think I'm just gonna stick with New Leaf.

I hated that villagers moved out without any warning. The acre system made it hard to escape bees. I never caught a bee, either, in the GC version.

Same here. I hated it when my favorite villagers would suddenly move and Id be left with the ones I would hope that would move :/

Another thing I didnt like was that you had to have someone come visit your town in order to get Nookingtons. I didnt have any other friends that played, nor did I have any extra memory cards for the longest time so it literally took me FOREVER to get the store!

I was actually thinking of trying the GC version (I hear it had a lot of charm and I'm a huge fan of the series, so why not).
But I had no idea there were so many cons about it (no changing hair/hat, no choice of keeping villagers, etc). I'd probably pull my hair out with it.

Having to hope a balloon runs into a tree because there were no slingshots to shoot them down and hopelessly follow it to the edge of town to watch it drift away half of the time.

I really liked the grid system, too. Not only for weeding purposes, but if I couldn't find the 'special' visitor wandering around my town, I could go to the station and they'd be like "Saharah is wandering around C-3." Thanks guys. c:

* Hated the cone-shaped Dunce hat.
* Hated the lack of storage - What do I do with all these cool NES games?!
* Hated losing my favorite villagers.
* Hated Resetti. He'd just pop up and make you feel like every decision you've made in your life was worthless -- little does he know YOU JUST LOST POWER and your Gamecube turned off without saving.
* Hated the trees. So many trees. I cut down all of my trees in my main game, except one of each fruit tree.

I started with NL and I really liked Wild World and City Folk. The only thing that disturbs me, it's actually catching bugs.

(I haven't entered neither of my AC's for 3 weeks)

Ugh, it's so annoying when they force you to take items. "YOU'RE FORCING ME!" might sound a little extreme , but maybe it could say something like "I really don't want it..."

"YOU'RE FORCING ME!" is not what I actually want to see, but that is how I feel. But yeah, there should be an option for you to get away with forcing.

The one thing nobody said yet was how when you do a favor like retrieve something from a villager he villager doesn't have it so you have to ask the person they gave it to and then they might not even have it and so on
