What's the last movie you've seen?

I watched Toy Story 1 with my boyfriend last night. I absolutely loved the movie as a kid but I haven't watched it in at least 8+ years. I was a little shocked by the graphics, it looked so much different than I remember. Nonetheless it still holds up really well though, I enjoyed the re-watch overall. I'm gonna watch the second movie soon and see how the graphics compare.

Reminds me of how I thought Smash Brothers 64 had the same graphics as Melee. I went back to play it one time and I was like wow this is a lot more pixelated than I remembered! It's funny how our minds can remember things inaccurate and way differently.

I can't remember the last movie I watched. Most times I've been watching shows or series.

The last movie I saw in theaters was Friendship in June. The last at home was Forest Gump last month. I'm realizing I'm really not a movie person 😅

I went to the K-Pop Demon Hunters singalong with my best friend on Saturday. Hardly anyone actually sang in our theatre but it was still really fun, and now we're planning a Saja Boys cosplay for a con in April!

Okay so we watched a horror movie called 'Sinister' last night.. what a terrible movie. It started out with potential but it was just bad. Why are good horror movies so hard to find

My mum really likes Austin Butlers, so we went to watch Caught Stealing; which was fun to watch. Found Matt Smith great in this too~

We watched the 2004 Catwoman movie the other night.. so bad but in a fun fun way. Makes me feel nostalgic for the 2000s for sure

I hope they make a new catwoman movie that's just as bad

It's been a minute since I've been to the movie theater, I think last time I went, was during Barbenheimer... watched both, just don't remember the order.

At home the last movie I watched from beginning to end was "X-Men: Apocalypse"

I went to see Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle (sub) and it was amazing. The visuals and audio were absolutely stunning. I don't want to spoil anyone on story details so I will just say it was worth the 2 1/2 hours runtime. Everyone in the theater clapped at the end! Can't wait for the 2nd movie.

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron and Happy Feet

The algorithm randomly suggested them to me. I've seen them lots of times already, but they're still enjoyable.

I've heard of that movie so many times, but never watched it or even seen any scenes. I should take the time to watch it, it looks like a good movie! Spirit that is.

Saw and Saw II... I always swore I would never watch any Saw movies but I'm glad I gave them a try, they were nowhere near as gory as I thought they'd be and the story wasn't terrible.
Still kinda bummed me out though

Last week I watched Megamind when I visited my parents. I think it's a really fantastic movie!

I also watched La llorena and Volver for one of my classes. I enjoyed both of them.

I started rewatching Wall-E but I didn't get a chance to finish it yet.

Megamind is such a good movie! It's a shame what they turned the new series into. I didn't know they had a Megamind short that released a few years after the movie? I watched it maybe last year or the year before that and it was really good! It kept the humor and everything from the original and left me wanting more, but not whatever DreamWorks did.

Here it is for anyone that hasn't seen it. (I didn't watch this one in full so sorry if it's got weird editing or something. The one before I tried to post here didn't let it play on sites)

The last movie I watched at home was Weapons, I really enjoyed the movie when I saw it in theaters and purchased it from Amazon Prime Video so I could watch it again multiple times.

The last movie I saw in the theater was The Conjuring: The Last Rites, honestly I enjoyed it but I do think it was a little long compared to the others. Also this is like the 4th time they changed the actress for Judy which is annoying I kind of wish they would have kept the first actress or Makenna Grace from Annabelle comes Home. I'm interested to see if any other movies come out from the conjuring universe but I feel like maybe they have finally closed that chapter in the series.

I started my yearly horror marathon last month, though not as thoroughly as I had originally intended. Between being busy and a bout of depression that left me without the motivation to bother with it for a while, I missed almost two weeks but caught myself before it got too late into the month.

September 5th
Back on September 5th, the monthly episode of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs on the Shudder streaming service showed the 1967 Brazilian movie This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse, the second installment of the Coffin Joe series from writer, director, producer and star of the film José Mojica Marins. I'd heard of the Coffin Joe series and intended to get around to checking it out eventually, but never had, so it was nice to have the opportunity. I thought it was all right and had some cool aspects, though it was disappointing to learn that Marins was kind of forced by the Brazilian government back in the day to censor his original intent by changing the ending. Afterwards, they showed the 1989 Italian horror movie The Church from director Michele Soavi. I'd previously seen it before and I like it well enough.

September 6th
I figured since I had just seen the second Coffin Joe movie the night before, that I ought to check out the original, so I watched José Mojica Marins' 1964 movie At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul. I'm kind of glad that I saw This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse first since, even despite the censorship in its ending, I found This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse to be a more entertaining watch. I don't know whether I would've bothered checking out the other Coffin Joe stuff if I had started with this one since it was a bit bland in comparison.

September 19
Here's what I consider the official start of my Halloween horror marathon for the year. I started things off by checking out the 1976 movie Dark August from director Martin Goldman since I'd seen it mentioned a few times in my research into things I haven't seen before. While I can see some people finding this movie to be bland or feel like nothing happens due to how the story ends, I thought it was pretty good. I followed it up with a revisit of the 1988 movie Pumpkinhead from director Stan Winston. The two movies made for a good double feature due to their both having to do with the use of folk magic in the pursuit of vengeance.

September 20
After learning of its existence a couple months ago, I checked out the 1924 Austrian silent movie The Hands of Orlac from director Robert Wiene. Not bad.

September 21 & 22
I did my yearly revisits of director Dario Argento's 1975 movie Deep Red and his 1982 movie Tenebrae.

September 23
I revisited director John Carpenter's 1983 adaptation of Stephen King's novel Christine.

September 24
I decided to check out director Wes Craven's 1991 movie The People Under the Stairs for the first time. I liked it. Certain aspects were a little goofy and odd, a couple things were a bit too convenient and it was kind of uneven, but I found it entertaining and I appreciated what it was going for.

September 25
Yearly revisits of director David Cronenberg's 1986 version of The Fly and director Dario Argento's 1985 movie Phenomena. Fun insect-themed double feature.

September 26
Having learned of its existence earlier this year, I checked out director Tod Browning's 1927 silent movie The Unknown. I liked it, and it was fun to watch a movie featuring Lon Chaney Sr. that I hadn't seen yet. I followed it up by revisiting director Tobe Hooper's 1981 movie The Funhouse since The Unknown is about a traveling circus troupe and The Funhouse features a traveling carnival.

September 27
Yearly double feature revisit of Italian director Lamberto Bava's movies Demons and Demons 2, released in 1985 and 1986 respectively.

September 28
Yearly revisits of director Tony Maylam's 1981 movie The Burning and director Robert Hiltzik's 1983 movie Sleepaway Camp.

September 29
The DVD I rented from the library with The People Under the Stairs on it also had a couple of other Wes Craven movies on it, so I took the opportunity to revisit his 1988 movie The Serpent and the Rainbow since I hadn't revisited it in a few years now.

September 30
I got into the spirit of spooky season with a ghostly double feature. I revisited director Peter Jackson's 1996 movie The Frighteners and director Peter Medak's 1980 movie The Changeling.

---

In the interest of keeping things organized, I figure I'll cut it off here and start up listing my October viewings in other posts throughout the month.
