What's the last movie you've seen?

The last movie I watched was in the theater this past Saturday which was the movie Drop. It was a thrille about a woman who goes on a date with a guy she met online and is like harassed by an anonymous person who is threatening the lives of her family members if she doesn't do what the anonymous texter tells her to do. I thought it was okay, a little slow in some spots but it wasn't a horrible movie. I'd wait to see it on a streaming service if any of you are thinking of seeing it.

Sinners!! so good omg the music, the cinematography, the blending genres... the trailer would play before like every movie I went to see in theaters for what felt like months and it seemed very run-of-the-mill, but I saw it was actually getting good reviews so decided to go see it and I'm so happy I did. I already wanna go see it again

Last night I watched The Substance which released last year from director Coralie Fargeat. I had to wait like a month in a queue from the library since so many people have been requesting it, haha. Glad I finally got to watch it. Outlandish concept aside, there was one minor plot point toward the end that sort of stretched "credulity" for me and could've done with a little more ironing out, but other than that, I thought it was great.

Just finished Who Framed Roger Rabbit today! My partner @ZeldaCrossing64 wanted me to watch it so I did, and it was pretty good movie! I especially love how smooth the animation is there.

The Blu-Ray I borrowed also came with the three Roger Rabbit shorts that were released after the movie(?), so I watched those as well. I liked them also!

I saw The Arrival(1996,not to be confused with the 2016 film,Arrival).Charlie Sheen is a radio astronomer who uncovers a plot by aliens to take over and inhabit Earth. This is one of those under the radar sci-fi movies that some people might have overlooked once they saw the words "Charlie" and "Sheen" in the credits but I liked his manic energy and the weirdness only he could bring to a role like this.
I just watched Arrival (2016). The confusion you mentioned is funny to me because for years and years people would ask if I have seen "The Arrival"? I would say yes, and they would go into details and I started thinking things like... "Amy Adams was in that? That doesn't make sense" 😆 Of course they meant the 2016 movie.

So I have seen both now, The Arrival way back when in the theater, and Arrival streaming today.

The older was fun, the newer was amazing!

Watched two movies recently: The Physician and El Cid. Well, watched one, attempted to watch two.

The Physician was really good, even though it was so horribly inaccurate to the time it's supposed to be set in. I do wish there was more scenes with Rob's family in it, though! And with the barber. My brain is overloading with all the headcanons I can write about lol. Unfortunately I don't have ao3 anymore, but I could probably ask a friend to post them. There's basically no ff on the movie, and the majority of the existing ff is.... not child friendly... so I think I'll have to write some stuff to remedy that for the non-existent fandom lmao. Anyway, I digress. Ahem.

El Cid was....... dreadful. The acting was so bad, and the romance?? What even was that lol. I skipped almost two hours of it, so maybe I missed all the good parts, but all the scenes I did see were abysmal, so I can't honestly say that I wish I had sat through and watched the whole thing

watched pride and prejudice (2005) a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. more recently, watched the king's speech (2010) for either the third or fourth time

Last night i watched Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith in theaters for the 20th anniversary rerelease!! I was lowkey kind of sad Hayden Christensen and Samuel L Jackson were at a theater ive been by before 😭 it was an amazing movie regardless, so glad to have experienced it in theaters, it made such a difference

A little bit of this and a little bit of that, I suppose, since I've been recently watching a lot of videos about commentators watching movies, lol so in a way, it's just movie reviews and the funny things the commentators have to say, and also how they feel about said movie.

Out of curiosity, I watched one about Leo because I've heard it was a good movie. Another one I watched was about Hoodwinked.

I saw September 5,a drama that documents the ABC Sports team that covered the terrorist hostage crisis during the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. On September 5,1972,a small group of Palestinian militants took several Israeli athletes hostage. The film uses a lot of actual footage from the event and has a documentary feel to it.I was eight years old on summer vacation from school when this crisis happened and vividly remember watching ABC's coverage on TV.It was frightening to watch how all the events unfolded.

Earlier this week I finally got around to watching the 80s movie, War Games. It was pretty entertaining seeing the differences and similarities between society during that time and today.

Watched Until Dawn at the theater this weekend- it was pretty good! I haven’t played the game so didn’t know what to expect, but I found it v interesting

conclave.jpg

I watched Conclave which depicts a particularly tense election of a new pope.On the surface a movie like this seems to be a bit on the boring side but it was fairly suspenseful and held my interest until the last scene.

I also saw Saturday Night. This is about the crazy birth of Saturday Night Live from the perspective of its creator,Lorne Michaels. Some of the humor from that era(1975) doesn't hold up so well now but at the time this show was the cutting edge because nothing quite like it had been done before.

Tried to watch Julius Caesar (1953) but it was really boring in my opinion. I wouldn't have watched it at all, but my sis wanted to so we went through about an hour of it before she couldn't stand watching either lol

The Singing Nun (1966), and I didn't like it at all lmao. It's extremely inaccurate to Luc Gabrielle's actual life, and while I get they made it before her death so they obviously didn't know how she would die or live the rest of her life, it was so loosely based on her that they might as well have said it was an original story.
