What will scanning amiibos do?

I'm pretty sure it will work the same as New Leaf. I don't see why they would remove the items you would get from the RVs. New items would be really cool though. I'm assuming also the new Isabelle amiibo that dropped for smash would work the same as the other two, but along with a different item.

I'm not too sure on this, but I bet it will be just like New Leaf, where we summon the villager and either have a choice for items or move them in. They may even do a new feature along with the original options, like getting multiple items or craft materials, instead of just one item.

I think it would be cool to let us scan cards at the start. I feel like with only two villagers, they would let us choose them? Maybe we can scan their cards to send them a plane ticket.
It's more realistic that it would give us a furniture item or just some crafting materials, of course.

Omg that's a fantastic idea! I would cry if they did that!
