What was your first video game console?

My first console was the Gameboy Advance, and the first game I played was either Pokemon FireRed or Pokemon Sapphire.

I think the only games I ever played on it were Pokemon, now that I think about it, lol. 😅

My mom gave me her old Gameboy which barely worked btw. I ended up breaking it like a year or two later. After that I got some sort of DS. I'd like to say a DS Lite but i'm unsure. 😭

A Mega Drive! Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Columns, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter II and Virtual Bart were my favourite games!

my dad still had his Atari, NES, and SNES from his childhood, and i would play on them a lot as a kid.
but my first one was my Wii! 🙂

Pong in 1972. I hated that game, actually, but my mom and sister were really good at it. Later my own household acquired an NES around the year 1990.

I think the first console I owned for myself was a DS. There was a few consoles in my home before but non that was brought specifically for me.

The SNES! Great console. I have great memories playing the dreaded Lion King game with my siblings. I loved the Super Mario RPG game, Earthworm Jim, Super Mario Kart, etc.

First console I owned was a Nintendo 64 I got for christmas the year it came out. I was 5 at the time and I only ever owned two games for it, Mario 64 and Mario Party 2

I am surprised I haven’t posted in this thread.

My first console was a V-Tech Smile. It was a Chinese cartridge based console that mainly only had licensed games for infants. Even when I was 5 it didn’t hold my attention for long and I didn’t get into video games until my mom bought me a DS Lite for my 8th birthday.

My first was a purple gameboy color... I played Zelda Oracle of Seasons and Pokemon Red on that >: )

Probably the first one I played on was a 3ds, but having a few older siblings meant that there were already plenty of different consoles in the house, so most of them would have been "mine" from the same time. I have vivid memories of watching rise of the guardians on my psp all the time, playing that one Dora the explorer game on the DS lite, and rage quitting when I couldn't win playing MK on the DS. My family used to have a bag full of all our consoles for when we were travelling, it was really fun

My first console was the SNES - blowing into games like a pan flute.

I don't remember which console I first played, but my family had an NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis when I was little, so it would have been one of those three. The first console that was specifically mine, not shared with my family/brother, would have been my pink DS Lite.

The first ever console that was actually mine and not my brothers' (because all of the video game consoles we ever had were pretty much his and my other brothers', haha) was probably the Gameboy Advance, if that counts?? I loved that thing so much. I wish I still had it.

Other than that, I also eventually got my own 3DS and PS3!

technically speaking, my first console was an educational console called the leaptv that i can remember very vaguely, the clearest memory i have is of playing "kart racing supercharged", which involved solving basic maths problems to power up your kart. my first proper console was a new nintendo 2ds xl - i distinctly remember sitting squidged up on the sofa between my auntie and my granny playing miitopia on christmas day :lemon:
