For your island, what theme are you going for? Have you switched themes?

For me, I wanted to do a pure natural island with dirt paths but I'm thinking of making mine more white tile paths with black lamp posts type of style with nature added in now. It's a good thing I haven't put too much effort into it yet for me to change my mind!

i don’t think i’m really going for a specific theme but i know i want my island to be full of bright colours - there’ll be a bunch of fruit trees, all pink hybrids except for the gardens, etc. i just want a really lively island ^_^

My island is a mish-mash of everything haha. I've got a town center with brick roads, then the '2nd floor' is natural with mushrooms and cedar trees, while the '3rd floor' is a farmhouse vibe on the left side of the map and the museum entrance on the right side of the map

mine is nothing too city - like. i don’t really know how to explain it, but it looks best in winter ^^

[ not a good idea to have full volume when visiting lul ]

it’s sorta hard to be unique since we’re all using the items with different variations and i just feel generic in some ways, but u just gotta work with what you got ig

Nature but elegant. At first I wanted it a bit more natural than it ended up I think. I also am starting to try to add creepy parts but not in obvious ways like horror towns tend to. Its not going too fast.
But then I just have areas like this so...

Mine was meant to be very foresty and very witchy, but I feel that I've lost the witchy aspect along the way due to a lack of certain items I was going to use (like the gems that you would get from hitting rocks for example!)

It is still foresty and I think it will be very beautiful! But I am discouraged that my theme is not working as originally planned. It has helped me discover some new great ideas along the way though. I still have my witch side character and her house will hopefully help my original theme shine through! It still feels like me even if it's missing some parts.

I'll have several themed sections. The south part is going to be VERY loosely based on where I live, the north part is going to be somewhat medieval fantasy themed.

i’m thinking natural and forest-y for a lot of it, and for the upper cliff area i’m making an urban city with houses, a playground/park and streets.

I pretty much based it off the Underground from Undertale.I still need to work on figuring out where the able sisters should be and where the fruit orchards should be too, but it look good so far

I honestly kind of thing I don’t have a theme. I guess I would describe it as a quaint town/ seaside town. I just have a villager plaza, a central town area, and a couple nice areas such as a pool area and a cafe here and there.

ive been thinking about the theme i want to go to since ive started this island and im so obsessed with it ngl, so ive put my Many Thoughts behind a spoiler

recently ive subbed one month to ffxiv during my acnh just to play it a lil and i never thought it would help me with acnh. there's this on place called Il Mheg in ffxiv which is basically just this huuuge flower field where fairies live which in itself is pretty inspiring, but what really got me was this small area in Il Mheg called Pla Enni. this place is basically just a glowing mushroom cave and omg,, my mind.

ive decided that im going to abandon any suburban island plans ive had and go full fairy forest up in this dude. the first half of my island will be seemingly abandoned-looking; when u walk in there'll be trees and more plain looking flowers (mostly white & black) with the lil tiny mushrooms around and some weeds. to the left of the entrance i'll have a 2-tier cliff where i'll put a tiny campsite. the beach will have sand pathing up to 2-3 tiles from the shore and it'll be mostly surrounded by cliffs, and decorated with shells and coconut trees. this area will be only 1/4 of my island/the bottom right corner and it'll stop once u get to resident services. resident services will be surrounded by cliffs as well and i'm thinking i want to build an incline up to the left of it to access the top right corner from there.

on the left side of resident services there'll be a bridge to the rest of the island which will just be a lil crater of villager homes. i'll have lots of lights (mushroom lights, hyacinth lamps, candles, etc.) and most of the area will be covered in dirt and stone. i'll probably have most of my colorful flowers here as well. this whole neighborhood will take of the bottom and top left corners, and will extend to my private beach. i would like my house to be near the top middle/private beach but maybe with a cliff separating them? idk. i mostly just have the areas ive talked about figured out.

i dont rly know where im going to put my shops yet, though they'll most likely be fit into the villager area on the second cliff tier or something. i wanted to do a lil dig site area for my rocks in the top right corner and put my museum next to it, but i also wanted an orchard and that's also a good place for it. my biggest issue with this idea right now is space i think. but i WILL make it work i'm so determined.

I haven't really settled on a theme. I think I kind of have a beach resort/town vibe going on, at least in my main area (around resident services). I still havent really settled on what to do with the rest of my island, a lot of it is pretty blank still.. I dont know if I'm going to have a concrete theme like a lot of "popular" islands (like the ones that have island tours on youtube) but thats fine

I got like 5 or 6 different themes going on throughout my island. My "downtown" area (airport, RS) has like a park kinda feel to it, it's not really modern or urban. North of RS is a residential area for three of my villagers and me; west of downtown is a small boardwalk thing containing my shops. Then there's the northeast section which currently has a kinda tropical/resort feel but I don't have a lot figured out for that area atm. I have a forest area in my cliffs to the northwest, as well as a bamboo area where my museum currently sits. There's supposed to be a countryside/farm feel for the southwest but I've been using it for hybrid breeding lol

I wanted to keep with a natural style island! But now I'm not so sure, I think I like a bit more of the city styles too, but it's a deserted island so I also want to make it a vacation paradise... I can't decide really.
