recently ive subbed one month to ffxiv during my acnh just to play it a lil and i never thought it would help me with acnh. there's this on place called Il Mheg in ffxiv which is basically just this huuuge flower field where fairies live which in itself is pretty inspiring, but what really got me was this small area in Il Mheg called Pla Enni. this place is basically just a glowing mushroom cave and omg,, my mind.
ive decided that im going to abandon any suburban island plans ive had and go full fairy forest up in this dude. the first half of my island will be seemingly abandoned-looking; when u walk in there'll be trees and more plain looking flowers (mostly white & black) with the lil tiny mushrooms around and some weeds. to the left of the entrance i'll have a 2-tier cliff where i'll put a tiny campsite. the beach will have sand pathing up to 2-3 tiles from the shore and it'll be mostly surrounded by cliffs, and decorated with shells and coconut trees. this area will be only 1/4 of my island/the bottom right corner and it'll stop once u get to resident services. resident services will be surrounded by cliffs as well and i'm thinking i want to build an incline up to the left of it to access the top right corner from there.
on the left side of resident services there'll be a bridge to the rest of the island which will just be a lil crater of villager homes. i'll have lots of lights (mushroom lights, hyacinth lamps, candles, etc.) and most of the area will be covered in dirt and stone. i'll probably have most of my colorful flowers here as well. this whole neighborhood will take of the bottom and top left corners, and will extend to my private beach. i would like my house to be near the top middle/private beach but maybe with a cliff separating them? idk. i mostly just have the areas ive talked about figured out.
i dont rly know where im going to put my shops yet, though they'll most likely be fit into the villager area on the second cliff tier or something. i wanted to do a lil dig site area for my rocks in the top right corner and put my museum next to it, but i also wanted an orchard and that's also a good place for it. my biggest issue with this idea right now is space i think. but i WILL make it work i'm so determined.
