What stupid thing can you just not catch/find?

Mine was easily the golden trout. I went through a ton of bait and had no luck finding it on my island, but then somehow managed to find one with only 5 bait when I was on a friend's island. I wasn't expecting it to happen then, either, so it was a pleasant surprise.

Before, it was the char. The stupid thing would not spawn after a bunch of bait I used. Finally got it. Then it was the giant trevally this month. Also got that too a couple of days ago. Never again lol

for a while i couldn’t manage to find the killifish for some reason?? and before that i’ve spent like 3 days looking for the barreleye and i was struggling to find the char as well for a bit.

the rosalia batesi beetle (the blue one that spawns on tree stumps) is eluding me.. the only time i saw it was literally the first day of may when it became in-season and i accidentally scared it off *facepalms*

The nibble fish and betta since I don't spend a lot of mornings playing. It always hits like 4:05 and I remember to catch them and they're gone for the day

It’s been raining all day on my island and I cannot for the life of me get a coelacanth. Just when I think I found a big enough shadow it’s a stupid sea bass

Island 2 had problems with the Stringfish. Fish rarely spawned on the top and 2nd tier. Caught it around 10pm on March 31st.

Island 1-Player 2 is still looking for the Anchovy. Player 1 finds them all the time.

My camper hasn’t spawned for 3 weeks already in the campsite, I used to have a camper each week, but now its not showing up. I did have a hard time getting the golden trout, but I forgot about it and caught it.

Atlas moth. It isn't that it won't spawn, but it blends in too well and I end up scaring it away. I finally did catch it by going to an island and chopping every tree but one. Blathers better appreciate it!

I'm still struggling with the rainbowfish. Every time I think "ah, that's a tiny shadow!" Nope, it's a loach. Always a loach. Every loach in the river. How is there even a breeding population left. Haven't even tried for the giant trevally or mahi-mahi yet, I'm still burnt out on making bait from the golden trout and stringfish way back when. Haven't seen a roselia batesi, but that's because I dug up all my stumps and haven't cut more yet.

I want that ranchu goldfish, but I always forget to fish for it the hours it's available.
I tend to remember right after it's no longer available for the day.
I really need to craft some bait for that and the mahi-mahi.

Also the stupid scorpion. I could never catch tarantulas in past games but was always fine with scorpions, this game its the opposite, it is starting to wear on me
