I am coming to find out that no matter how you configure or unsecure your wireless router that some wireless routers do not work well with animal crossing. Example I have a belkin wireless router now and ever since I got it I can never connect with anyone without error 86420 coming up. Nintendo is very little help. They just don't want to admit their screw ups.
Before this I had a linksys router and hardly ever got that error code or cut off and could connect with virtually all my friends. I also use the lan adapter. So my question is what name bradn router are you using for the wii and how often do you get error code 86420 when trying to connect with a friend in animal crossing. Once you get that error you can never connect with that friend unless you switch routers.
