What is your opinion on lazy villagers?

I like them. Sometimes their dialogue is very childish but I assume maybe the ages of the lazies are younger than everyone else. This is very similar to the crankies being like old retired men that yell at the darn kids to get off their lawns. Aside from bugs and other childish things, lazies focus on food is understandable and relatable though. Sometimes I am in the mood for a chicken orzo or an apple pie when I am bored. Why a chicken orzo and an apple pie? I don't know ask my lazy.

they're definitely grosser compared to past games lol. i guess that's realistic, that lazy villagers wouldn't bother to clean up. but i still think they can be cute!
i tend to get different vibes from them depending on how our conversations go and also their species/theming. for example, rex talked so much about his bugs that i can't help but see him as someone who smells bad now. drago doesn't talk nearly as much about the bugs, but when he does i feel like it makes more sense for him? being an alligator (and a dragon i guess) i would expect him to eat bugs (baby alligators eat bugs among other small creatures) but it kind of speaks to his character that he prefers living in harmony with them. and he has access to human food so i don't blame him for not wanting to eat the bugs lol

Up until ACNH they were my favourite personality type. Now I find their dialogue off-putting.

I went into Drake's house one day and he was holding his duster, sleeping standing up. I guess he just couldn't make it through the job without a nap.

Bears eat bugs out of decaying wood. A lot of animals eat bugs, and in some places in the world a lot of people do too. I eat them every chance I get but in my case it's the kind of bug that crawls around in the water, like shrimp and crab.
