What is your island style?

Currently, I have no design, as I am trying to just maintain my perfect rating for more gold roses/lily of the valley. It's really a shame that you have to basically ruin the aesthetic of your town to achieve this, some spots are just hard to work with.

Foresty/natural as well. Some parts are more fleshed out than others and it's going to take a lot of work, but my plans are to include a fairy garden, a jungle area, and lots of fairy tale influences. My entrance is inspired in part by Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, including a "wishing well" and a cabin in the woods occupied by a grumpy fellow (Butch). :ROFLMAO:

It also takes cues from the opening of Beauty and the Beast (with the waterfall in the forest)

And I love Over The Garden Wall! What a great source of inspiration!

I'm really struggling with this just because I have so many ideas but want my island to be overall cohesive. I also do not want to do the "same thing" as my new leaf town (pink/pastel/spring/cherry blossom themes) and originally decided on "bold summer colors" BUT recently found that I love the look of white flowers against my natural scenery. I thought about doing a more white flower/natural/"zen" island, but I want to stick to my original plan of bold tropical colors! Still trying to decide on a flower color pallet but right now I am leaning towards "Sunset colors" as a compromise with myself

I'm going for sort of a small town vibe with my island. I've got a main street set up with Nook's Cranny and Able Sisters close to Resident Services with some vending machines along the road, and across the river I have a neighborhood set up for all of my villagers. I'm also making a park with a playground and some benches. The rest of my island is just wilderness and I have my campsite set up out there so it's more authentic lol

I like making my AC towns quaint and riddled with trees. I don’t really have a theme beyond that. My NL town had a nautical theme to it, and as fitting as that is for an island setting, I did not want to do the same thing for Wits’ End. However I do have a simple memorial area for Charmelo, lol.

Although I don’t have a specific theme, there is some lore to my island. For instance, we were not the first settlers. I discovered the ruins of a fort in a valley, once I was able to vault over the river. Blathers and I have been excavating the ruins and discovered secret passage ways underground connected by wells. It seems as though the previous residents of the island met a sudden and tragic fate. More on that as we uncover the mysteries of Wits’ End.

Oh, my character is an explorer/archaeologist. Any relation to the old sea-dog of the same name, that was mayor of Charmelo? Maybe...

i’m not exactly sure what to call it but i’m aiming towards a very vibrant island - brightly coloured tulips, fruit trees everywhere, etc. almost of my island will look like this but the campsite area and around one of my side-character’s house will have more of a forest vibe to it aha

I've got a weird biomes theme going on, where different parts of my island are supposed to feel like different environments. So far I've got a swamp, a valley, a canyon, a forest, and I've left the cliff top forests as the game had them originally but may change them.

I've also got a thing going on where I have different counties for my villagers, there's two living in the seaside district which also has the shops, three in a little rural neighbourhood area with terracotta pathing and little gardens, then the other three live in a more rundown but still rural and friendly area.

I've also devoted a small area of the cliff layer to Sterling, I made a moat around his house with a bridge and some little stone walls to look like an old castle ruin.

So basically, it's anything goes

I've always loved staying with a more natural theme. I've tried to go with a feel of having the more developed/urban area be the southern portion between my rivers. That makes sense, because new arrivals would stick near the airport.

Crossing the rivers, houses, a small orchard, and campsite are a touch more secluded and more wooded.

Go up the cliff, cedar forests take over, a grove with standing stones and tablets can be found on one side. My house is on the other, with a broken path of terracotta and dirt leading to it, as if a past civilization once existed.

I'm doing a pastel-angelic-zen theme? kind of all over the place, however i think I can manage it?

I want to include lots of pink, white and gold roses, and I want to decorate my paths with the 200 sakura petal piles I made (it was a haaard grind lol). I plan to have a cute sanrio-themed Boba Shoppe on my island, as well as a zen-themed Ramen Shoppe, (ran by my OCs Soba and Boba) and I want to make the outside of the Boba Shoppe super cutesy while the Ramen Shoppe has a zen garden. I want to not go overboard on "cutesy" which is where I get the 'angelic' from since I plan to use a lot of white and gold type stuff, but I definitely want lots of pastels as well. I also want a lot of bamboo on my island.

I haven't gotten the chance to figure out where I want everything to go yet, but I'm excited to start!

Going for a vintage town theme, the back of the island is mostly natural while the town is in the the centre. Can't really describe it well so here's my town map (so far lol) also aiming for all cat villagers hehe!

Will focus on orange, yellow and white flowers. Really aiming for a 'warm' look.

I guess mine is natural? To be honest, there's not an exact theme for my island. It's quite mountainous, with a lot of small-ish scenic cliffs (some without inclines because.. incline number limits) with flowers on top. I use different colour hybrid flowers for each "section" of my island, like the right side of my island with houses, the central shopping district, zen garden, outdoor cafe, etc.

My island is going to be super cutesy on the surface level--pink paths, lots of flowers, etc. but I'm going to have a few areas of my island that are "darker" or "creepy". Like I'm going to try and create a hidden graveyard/witchy area somewhere. I really like super cute stuff and creepy stuff so it just makes sense to me.

I'm going for a French theme, and my island is split into 3 sections: Paris (urban-ish, with outdoor cafe spots), Provence (flower fields & orchards), and the Alps (hills, alpine trees).

I doubt it'll look French to anyone but me, but it'll be fun to put together anyway! I'm going to try to get a bunch of French-sounding villagers too, so far I've just got Gaston.
I LOVE this! I'm sure it'll be wonderful! In regards to French sounding villagers that haven't been yet suggested, I gotta recommend Blanche and Bonbon, meaning "white" and "candy" in french respectively!

Very rural. I don't want my town to look like a theme park with tons of patterns all over the ground. It's just not my thing. I can't stand clutter.

Not really sure I have much of a style. I have on section where all houses are. And then the rest of the room I put a relaxing community ground of sorts. Pools, picnic tables, lawn chairs, bbq, those sort of things. A relaxing area for the villagers. Not that they use them. LOL. Then where resident services is, its more of a busy section. Where shopping is and I have a amusement theme park. Also have my fruit orchard there. Just because I was able to make more room for trees there. It used to be in the back on the second level. But it looked funny. Then the back on my island is sections of flower beds to make hybrids. I have a high campground area decorated where the campsite is. And have a bamboo campsite area as well. My museum is in the back, with a historical type of theme where I will put a small museum shop (using the stalls) and a little coffee diner area. Which is probably where brewsters shop will go if we get it like is roomed. That sounds all over the place but would make more since if you actually seen where everything is placed. Haha.
