What is your island style?

With my island, I decided to go in the direction of something more natural, basically as if it was like a village from ACGC. However, every animal claimed an area of the island based off on it's species and personality. A few things eventually changed, like there's paths and signs, a few external furniture, an outdoor gym and a soccer field, but it was all made as if the animals developed each area. The only exception is the Central Square, which is still a work in progress and I don't really know what to do with that area.

@LuchaSloth You can place items on the stalls! They need to be 1x1 though. Make sure it's something that can be placed on a table/stall though, some items look like they'd fit on a stall but don't (I.e the Sakura Picnic Set)

They need to patch in the ability to move the center square...because I think a lot of people hate where it is. Personally, I'd probably move it all the way to the top if I could.

Really? I'll check into this. I guess I got discouraged when I tried a few things and it told me there was no room. The only items I got to work were the generic dropped items. Thanks for the tip.

natural/foresty with lots of colourful flowers. i love the new style of paving but it just doesnt suit what i want for my island - i tend to like towns you get lost in

Natural

I like the feel of having it like past games, excluding actually being able to put some outdoor furniture here and there for scenery.

I’m going for that simple/natural far away small town. Mainly cus I have no interest in terraforming difficult cliffs and rivers.

One of my first ideas was a farm like town but it’s gonna be weird because there are cows and chicken villagers. I don’t want to make it seem like... you know :o

Another idea is a horror town based on scooby doo zombie island. I wanted to do this one so bad but the game seem so... bright and happy and not scary lol

I am going for a natural, spread out, small town feel.

I see a lot of very highly planned towns and, while they look really cool, they feel artificial. I am trying to get a more natural style.

With that said, there is also a desert in one corner of my island, for Ankha and Lucky to live in.

My town is in the lower sections, and the upper section is a hiking trail.

dont have a super particular theme but im planning for it to be overrun with trees, scattered stuff like eggs and bones on the floor, weeds everywhere and logs for bridges whilst making it look pretty

Rustic and foresty, seems like many in this thread are going for the same theme lol. But nothing wrong with having the same ideas!

I drew my map out and I have a lot of mountains and meandering rivers. Also my island is separated into smaller land masses because of the rivers. I love water.

I have two, Charleston and Wisteria. Wisteria is my main and is hopefully going to be more natural, where Charleston is my TT town that I play less in and will be more of a costal city. Those are my goals, but I’m in a bit of a decorating slump these days, so we’ll see

I'm trying to do a foresty island too but it's not working out that great with the tree limit lol.
I'm nervous about this. I haven't reached the tree limit yet, but I just want to get those lily of the valleys

I'm planning on making a bit of a beach town, with a boardwalk along the bottom beach. I'm also planning to make a culdesac with all the houses, maybe a meadow or botanical garden? Overall i had the boardwalk idea and fell in love with it and originally i kinda wanted to make tarrey town from botw but that would take too much of my island so the culdesac is like a little tip to that :)

I'm going for a similar style as you! Rural, rustic, with farmlands, fairy villages and enchanted forests. Nature is the main element and every villager has a specific purpose as if they were NPCs on an RPG: Reneigh is going to run a farm, Beau will own a campground, Julian will be in charge of the observatory...

Took some inspiration from MMORPGs, Zelda games, the Swiss Alps and the Japanese countryside.
