I haven’t been reading for awhile, but I hope to get back to it when my mental health is better; I say this since most of what I read makes me really mad
. I read mostly history, political science (foreign affairs related and they are more of a mix between history than outright politics), and manga (no specific genre).
Here is what was on my reading list last time I checked:
.
I also need to catch up on the One Piece manga.
I want to reread some books too. I’ll save that list to post about another day though.

Here is what was on my reading list last time I checked:
- Diary of the Cuban Revolution by: Carlos Franqui; I was about halfway through this.
- Rogue State: A Guide to the World’s Only Superpower by William Blum - I was 200ish pages in, may need to start over. Some of the information I already read about in some of his other books, but I think this book covered stuff he didin’t mention in either of the books.
- Maybe The Iranian Nuclear Crisis: a Memoir by: Seyed Hossein Mousavian; I was almost 100 pages in. I loved the other book I read of his; a lot of what I read so far was mentioned in the other book, but I wanted to learn more from his perspective. I was enjoying it but the editor’s comments really turned me off. I wasn’t interested in the editor’s comments since I felt the editor was biased; I didn’t need to hear the editor’s perspective since I’m aware of the American perspective and I wanted to hear the other side and what I feel is closer to the truth & reality. I think in his other book, the author refutes some of the criticism that editor made.
- Maybe eventually finish Inside the Company: CIA Diary by: Philip Agee; very dry read but still insightful.
- The Parisian by Isabella Hammon - I got this one of the last Christmases I had along with Mother of Strangers; both were part of a book recommendation list by I think a writer who strongly supports the Palestinian cause. They made a book recommendation list for those who wanted to learn more about what is happening.
- Mother of Strangers by Suad Amiry
- Che Guevara by Jon Lee Anderson
- The Eagle and the Lion by James A. Bill
- Patriot of Persia by Christopher de Bellaigue
- All the Shah’s Men by Stephen Kinzer

I also need to catch up on the One Piece manga.
