What happens to a still-growing tree when you chop it down and leave the trunk?

Will the trunk still stay there in the ground, even though the tree hasn't grown to its full size yet? I'm so curious. What happens to it? Like, if I chopped down a tree when its still just a baby tree, will that tiny baby tree stump stay there forever? Or will it grow/disappear?

Yup, you get baby stumps. I've used a few in them in my town to make a little fence.

Yes you can sit on the tree stump that you cut down the day before the tree is fully grow. Other would be too small.

I want to see what they look like, so I can decide whether or not I want to have them in my town.

I have baby stumps in my town too! <3 I was happy when I found out they left baby stumps and they're nice to decorate with, people also decorate with bamboo stumps so there are other cute little odd things to do with your town!
