What happens if you time travel backwards?

Hi, I'm using a villager-move out method that involves TT'ing, but I don't want to see the new months, so I was going to go back to march, then start the process of TT'ing forward. In new leaf, if you time travelled backwards, no matter the time it would count as 1 day forward. Is this the same in New Horizons? also, here is the method i am using.

If you have turnips, they will spoil.

I traveled backwards 30 minutes to try and fix a layout error and all my turnips spoiled.

Edit: I'm tired and I didn't read your post thoroughly and missed your question - sorry! I'll leave my post up, though, in case it might be relevant.

You're very welcome! I didn't bother to read up or ask and I was shocked to find out what happened lol.

lol, we all make mistakes. one time one of my dreamies was on an island tour and I accidentally left without taking them lol!

Oh. No!

But hey! Lessons learned!

I now read up before doing something that might be game-changing... And not in a good way!

From what I know, it works like in New leaf in counting only 1 day when you go backwards (but plants/trees wont grow more and won't be new fossils unlike forwards).

When you TT back it doesn't seem to count as a new day -
I got no new morning announcement, recipes, and all the stocks at Able's and Nook's Cranny stayed the same.
