What grinds your gears?

Idiots who get in stores and leave toys, clothes etc. on the floor. I understand that they have people hired to pick the stuff up, but they should at least be considerate.

Umm for the record the store employees were not hired to pick up after idiots, they just have no choice because the majority of customers are inconsiderate. which I do have a whole list of things idiot customers do to grind my gears. (Yes I work in retail) I will only post a few though.

Customers who interrupt you when you are obviously helping another customer.
Customers who ask for help when your arms are full of stock and get angry when you say you will be with them as soon as you put the stuff down.
Customers who are too lazy to add their own minutes to their 'pre-paid' phones.
Customers who open packages before they purchase them, and especially those who open packages and then leave them behind but purchase an unopened item of the same thing.
Customers who talk on their phones and not pay attention when at the cash register.
Customers that yell at the employee about things that employees have no control over whatsoever.
Customers who expect a refund or an exchange for something that is obviously a couple of years old.
Customers who cant put things back where they got them, even if that spot is right in front of them.
And the worse, Customers who let their kids run wild.

Adblock my friend

An escalated argument on a video on Youtube about Ecchi compared to Hentai (Porn vs Super Porn basically)

The video was a Last of Us playthrough

@Garret; Yay
Ecchi= Nude but no sex
Hentai= Sex

You know what really grinds my gears?

People who see an upcoming product that looks expensive and is usually a very minor upgrade from an older model, then people keep saying it's a ripoff and won't be buying it, and they always end up doing so. Example: Every iPhone model ever (except the first one, obviously.)

NETFLIX!!!! They show Secret Garden kdrama on the thing then when I go to watch it they tell me 'It can't be streamed right now' well..... poo on you netflix

BASICALLY ALL THIS. I work in retail as well. It has made me hate the general populace.

Something that's really common at my store is that people steal stuff, then COME BACK and try to sell what they stole WITHOUT THE RECEIPT OF COURSE and then we have to try and keep them there while we call the police (since we have them stealing on the security camera).

And of course there's the people who think you speak Spanish. I am as white as white comes, do I look like I speak Spanish?!

Oh my god, the last one. I can't tell you how many times I have to tell parents to keep their kids under control.

Ignorant people. Bullies. Dicks. You get the picture.
Also, little kids. Remind me never to be a parent. Ever. I'd be terrible and end up selling my children.

Let me expand on this.
  • Old customers who ask if we still have something and get mad when we don't sell it anymore
  • Customers who have a binder full of coupons and decide that right as they're paying, that's when they want to get their coupons out
  • Adult customers who bring their children to the store, hang out with their adult friends, let their children play in the toy department and make a mess, and then get mad when I have to ask them to please step to the side so I can pass through.
  • Customers who get mad at me when I have a flatbed blocking the aisle, and ask me to move it, even though they can clearly see I am lifting furniture onto a shelf.
  • Customers who ask me where something is, even though it is literally on the aisle where we both are standing. The worst of this was when a customer asked me where garbage bags were, and we were on the garbage bag aisle. Both sides had what he needed.
  • Customers in motorized wheelchairs that are unaware of how much space they take up, which results in them knocking over clothing racks
  • Customers who purposely cut the plastic zip ties holding the display vacuums and strollers to take them down and try them out
  • Customers who pull the display kitchen appliances off of the shelf, even though they are bolted down
  • Customers who think that by saying "I'm never coming back here" actually means something.
  • Customers that mix up the sale signs. For example, the large sign that says "Hoover Windtunnel Pro" is not for the "Dyson DC41"
  • Customers who think that they have a right to the motorized carts the store provides. Spoiler alert: You don't have a right to them, my store is not required to provide them for you
  • Customers that try to get discounts for the smallest things

Hahaha omg. I showed my sister this list because she works in retail and can relate to everything you said.

Anyways, it grinds my gears when people kick my desk at school. I can understand resting your feet, but kicking it..? Ugh it's so frustrating.

The fact that my 3DS isn't going to arrive for another 2 weeks. I NEED NEW LEAF. I don't even have the game and I'm suffering withdrawal already. How long must this be such a distraction? I've got so much stuff left to do! *like writing a book*

Also, when people are hypocrites. It's like- are you freaking asking me to do something you can't do yourself? How can you expect me to do that when you can't? These people just annoy the shnaz out of me. Seriously. How can you just be so arrogant?
I'm sorry, I'm being a hypocrite for complaining about hypocrites. XD

International shipping, especially for a Canadian like myself. I recently ordered two books (5lbs total weight) and had to choose the UPS to Canada option. Shipping fee was 38 dollars, which was fine. Finally got delivered and had to pay another 60 dollars up front for duty.

Shipping y u have to be so expensive D:

Ice-cream vans. The tune they play is so irritating and drives me insane.
Crying babies. Ssshh.
Materials which feel irritating to touch or wear.
Being who don't understand what personal space is.
Being tickled.
Girls who wear leggings which don't cover their backsides well. I don't want to see your panties.
Guys who wear their jeans waaaaaay too low. Dude, I can see your TMNT boxers and you're walking like a fool.
People who grab my phone and look through my pictures e.e (This grinds everyone's gears to be honest)

Gawh the list could go on x.x

when my friend ignored my text messages
yet i see her having a grand old time on tumblr

anything related to swag

people who are easily influenced/corrupted by others

* Customers that take forever to decide what to order and then end up only ordering one simple thing
* Customers that automatically start speaking Spanish to me without asking if I speak Spanish first
* People that always have an excuse for everything
* People that never consider others
* People who are touchy because I don't like being touched
* People that are needy and clingy
* People that openly insult their parents over selfish things
