What got you into Animal Crossing?

I saw my friend playing WW around when it first came out and I was intrigued by the whole concept of it and I was surprised when she went into brewster's cafe as that seemed like a nice feature at the time:') I later got WW for myself.

As many others, I saw my friends playing WW and thought it was a really interesting concept for a game. At the time, it was a brand new format of a game for me. So I played WW a little bit here and there and then never really picked it up again. Fast forward to senior year in high school and I meet a new friend who is obsessed with ACNL. After seeing her playing it, it really peaked my interest again and thought I'd give it a shot.
Do not regret it at all, still play it almost daily.

My friend's brother had New Leaf and I wondered what it was. I went to the eShop and saw some trailers for it. I watched them and I thought "Whoa! You get to be mayor of your own town! This is awesome!" That same year I ended up getting it for Christmas. I've had about 3 towns since. Two were on a cartridge that I lost, and the one I currently have is a digital one thanks to Club Nintendo that was still alive at the time.

I was at a sleepover with my cousin and she was playing it. She kept talking about how so and so sent her a shirt and so and so moved away, and I thought to myself, what kind of game is this? I had never played anything like it and it seemed interesting. So, I asked for it for Christmas. The rest is history.

My friends talked about ACNL a lot back in 2014, and I thought it looked like a really cute game! Visiting each other's towns, talking to the villagers, it was something I wanted to be apart of. I hadn't had much exposure to any of the Animal Crossing games before that, so this is my absolute first. When I was gifted the game for Christmas, I had no idea what I was doing at all but I think the cuteness and innocence of everything managed to keep me into it.

I played Animal Crossing Wild World and City Folk a couple of years ago. When I first saw the trailer and the game cover for New Leaf, I knew that the ACNL game was going to be good. This game still is entertaining to play and it is very addicting too.

I used to find these kind of games stupid, but once I started playing Sims, I can to realize they really weren't all that bad. And I prefer animals to people, so Animal Crossing was a double win.

And New Leaf came at perfect time since I was dealing with a major depressive relapse; it helps to calm me.

I guess that's why I still play it daily. It's better than Xanax.

Playing the original at home on the Gamecube with my sisters. It was fun but way less to do and buy. I was not very good at it because I didn't enjoy bug catching or fishing on that version so I didn't pay off all of my debts. Complete opposite in this game. I heard good things about New Leaf and I got nostalgic. This fills the void WoW left me and my xbox/wii games I have no time or patience for.

It's so funny, back in 2009, I overheard a coworker making fun of this video game his middle school-aged daughter played...how they go shopping in the city and this and that... I don't know exactly what it was, but I was kind of intrigued lol. So, I went home and looked it up online and just had to get it... And I became addicted instantly! To me, it's relaxing, mind numbing, and a nice creative outlet. There are plenty of challenges out there, but you don't *have* to do them... It's all up to you - and I love that!

Wild World was actually the first video game I ever played. My best friend had it at the time when I was six years old, and I loved watching her play it before she moved away. That Christmas, I begged my mom for a Nintendo DS and "the Animal game." Luckily, my mom and dad pulled through, and "Santa" brought me a DS and Animal Crossing that year. I was so excited! I played the heck out of my first town ever, "alaska" until some girl stole my cartridge, and later I played in Starlite. Then a few years later my friend who got me into Animal Crossing and I both got a Wii and City Folk and would be talking on Wii Speak to eachother for hours. To this day, we still play New Leaf together and we do tons of tours and just hang out! She's been really into Happy Home Designer though, so I'm trying to get back into playing it even though I used up all my amiibo cards :)

My friend made me buy Wild world and I loved it. I was excited about City Folk and really enjoyed that as well. Then New leaf came out and the rest is history.

I played the gamecube version and acww so I knew I had to play acnl...glad I did cause I love it

it was the first game i ever got for my gamecube and me and my mom used to play it all the time. i was almost 6 years old, and thats how she taught me to read, what different fish and insects looked like, which insects made what noises, all that jolly fun stuff a kid wants to learn.

I remember when getting my Wii that my parents put in some extra games for me and Animal Crossing Wild World was one of them, along with Lego Batman and Pikmin etc.
So I wanted to try all my new games and when I started play Wild World, I was HOOKED! I love how you could just do what ever you wanted to do and there were no set rules or a story to follow. You made your own story! :D

I was compelled to catching all the rare bugs and fish and had a goal of making a money tree with the golden Shovel. Good times :)

I've played Nintendo games since I was a kid. Mostly Zelda, Pokemon and Mario, but I got an old AC for a birthday and I've played ever since.

My sister bought me New Leaf for Christmas back in 2014. I've been playing it ever since, adding two more towns since then.

I just heard a bunch of nice things about the series and thought I'd give New Leaf a shot when it came out. To be honest, I didn't think I'd like the game. It didn't seem like my kind of thing, but once I started playing I fell in loooooooove <3

I saw an advert on TV for Wild World and here I am almost 12 years later, I've played All the main series (WW, CF, and NL) but I missed out on the gamecube version, but I have never looked back on this awesome lovely game.

First version I played was population growing (Game Cube). A friend of mine had had it for a while and was raving about to me. I'm thinking "Wow this game sounds super dumb" the whole time she was talking. Then when she asked me if I have it to and I said no, she let me borrow her copy the very next freaking day. She told me to play it the second I got home. I did, thought it was weird how a guitar playing dog was the first thing I saw when getting started. Though once I actually got into playing it I was hooked within the first hour lol. I eventually bought my own copy and I've been a fan of the series ever since. The only games I haven't played are animal forest (wasn't sold in stores outside Japan) and amiibo festival (don't have a Wii U).
