For me, I played City Folk on the Wii when I was younger. I played a little of it, but never really got too far because I had no idea how to do anything! Then, like 6 years later, a friend of mine was talking about how she was excited to work at a coffee shop, and a new villager was moving in the next day. I watched her play, and I totally needed that game! Now...I play everyday, and I'm obsessed. What got you into Animal Crossing?

My dad first played it which made my mum play it which made my sister play it which made me play it!

What Made me Like animal crossing is that Is that I had The very first version, which was on Game Cube. I didn't hear about animal crossing wild world or city folk, but when I saw the trailer for ACNL, I was completely excited and I wanted that game sooooo bad.

I saw an ad for it one day, and I looked up the reviews. I asked my dad to buy it for me, and he did! Started in 2013. :)

i played the gamecube version when i was little with my sisters, and i've loved the series ever since. ;w;

When I first got my DS Lite (for christmas when I was 6) I got one of those grey storage containers for games (you know the ones) and it had a wee cardboard thing inside to show you what the gamecards would look like when they were inside. One of the games was Wild World. I thought it had come with free games, and you can imagine my disappointment. So then I got Wild World for my 7th birthday in july of that year (I think, I'm not sure). so yeah that's why I play animal crossing :)

(oh and also I went to a friend's bday party and they got wild world and they played the bit in the taxi with Kapp'n and I wanted it so much!! - this was in the february)

i actually got wild world when i was in about first or second grade, and i got really into it. when i graduated from fourth grade, new leaf had just come out, and my parents had bought for me as a present after graduation.

My brother had the first (American anyway) game on the gamecube, and I didn't have the console at all just a stupid playstation. And I used to go over to his place to play it all the time. And as soon as I got a Wii I used it to play that first game so much I didn't even play the one actually for the Wii as much, but I still totally played that one when I could.

It was one of the first games I got along with The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker when I got a gamecube for my 12th birthday I think it was. My mom ended up regretting buying it for me because she hates the sound of the animals talking lol.

It was actually a rainy day and I was walking home and I stepped on something when crossing a small and lonely street. It was a game cartridge with no title. It must have been peeled off or something. It was night and no one in sight and was curious. When i got home i dried it off and put it into my ds hoping it didnt havee any water damage or anything like that. It was animal
Crossing wild world. At first I was confused and there was no save file or anything on it. So i made a new file and was intruiged as I had never heard of it before. After a few days I was hooked. And not too long acnl was about to be released! Too bad at that time i didnt k kw how popular the game was and had to wait over a week to get a copy as they were sold out literally everywhere haha! And that's how my journey of animal crossing started! I still kinda feel guilty because i didnt know who it belonged too :o

i got city folk from my uncle as a birthday gift and started playing it kind of casually. then i brought it with me to our summer cabin one summer and played it every day. since then ive been obsessed pretty much

My mom played the original gamecube when I was little and she helped me start and continue a town. From then on, animal crossing has had a small place in my heart and I will continue to love it for probably ever

A friend of my sister a long time ago had it for his DS. I didn't really like it then, but as I grew older I realized how fun it could be. I watched videos on it all the time. The first Animal Crossing game I ever got was ACNL, in 2015 on my birthday. Before that though, I did tons of research so I wasn't going in blind.

My best friend at the time was playing the gamecube version at her house. I didn't understand wtf genre this game was but it didn't take long for me to fall in love with it. That was back in 2005 and it's safe to say that the animal crossing addiction never really dies.

I heard about it years ago and was never interested. This past March I had some online friends talking about it and loving it and I bought Wild World to see what it was all about. (I only had a DS Lite at the time.) Then I found out my sister played New Leaf and I watched her play and loved her game sooo much more than mine. I returned Wild World and bought a refurbished 3DS with New Leaf and was hooked.

I played the Animal Crossing on Gamecube. I played that game for over a year to see all of the different holidays. I thought it was cool that the game changed to follow the seasons instead of just day and night like Pok?mon. It made me want to get the other AC games too. Then a friend on New Leaf introduced me to this forum. I play New Leaf a lot now because it is fun to trade with and visit people on this forum.

It was Chuggaaconroy's Let's Play that got me into Animal Crossing in the first place. I used to watch the guy's stuff back when he wasn't really cringeworthy, and I really wanted to find out what the fuss is all about with New Leaf. I loved watching his LP and seeing all of the cute animals, but it took me over a year to finally get the game itself.

I asked my mom to buy me a specific animal game for the Gamecube (I can't remember what it was), but they didn't have it in store. She instead bought Animal Crossing. I was probably 7 or 8 at the time. Then, I got AC:WW on my original DS, AC:CF on my Wii and of course AC:NL on my 3DS.

I'm grateful they didn't have that random game in store, otherwise I would never have discovered Animal Crossing. :)

My best friend's older brother played a lot of games on the Gamecube whenever I would visit them. I was always so intrigued by them. It's actually part of the reason my sister and I got a Gamecube in the first place. Of course one of the first games we borrowed from my friend was Animal Crossing. Something about the music, the balls you could kick around, the villagers... I loved it all so much.

IDK really. One day I was sitting around playing Super Mario Maker. Then I got bored and though "hey I think I'll get myself an animal crossing game"
