what do you usually eat as a snack?

I have recently been snacking on oranges everyday. They're just packed full of goodness, and they have been helping me get through long working days.

I don't like to snack very often because I have a tendency to constantly graze if I do.

When I do snack, I prefer light snacks, like:
- Peach cup in 100% fruit juice
- Skinny Pop 100 calorie pack
- Snackwell 100 calorie packs
- Emerald cocoa roasted almonds 100 calorie pack
- A clementine

I generally go for 'feel good foods' such as fruit and nuts. Not chips or chocolates.

I usually have:

  • Watermelon
  • Tea (Usually flavoured - there are some really nice flavours. There are also some nice natural alternatives I have of course.
  • Cherry tomatoes (Easy to pick up with hands or chopsticks).
  • Almonds, nuts - that stuff

A rule I have is if I'm only ~20% hungry, have some tea or water; if the hunger persists, then get some food.
I tend to not gorge at all on these foods and have stopped my sweet tooth habits.

Plain crackers. I always try to make sure that I buy some at the supermarket so I always have a supply. If I've got too much money and time in my hands, I grab a rice ball.

At school, I usually eat crackers and granola bars. When I'm at home I have cereal or almonds and tea.

I usually go for fruit as a snack, since we always have fruit in the house. It's either a grapefruit, banana, or orange depending on how I'm feeling/what I'm craving.

I tend to pick at whatever we've got in the house, and it varies. Sometimes we'll have pretzels or crackers lying about, and other times we'll have white cheddar popcorn (DELICIOUS) or Cheetos or something. It's rare that we have fresh vegetables, sadly, or I'd be all over those.

If there's much prep work to be done, though, I don't consider it to be a snack. Like, Totino's Pizza Rolls are a snack supposedly, but the prep time for those? Nuh-uh. Just make a ton of them and eat them for lunch or something.

clementines , little microwavable vegetable cups , and sometimes kettle corn . lately i've been snacking on a bag of pickle chips , though

If you do it long enough it becomes a habit and a new normal. I used to be able to eat a box of mac and cheese. Now I only buy myself the Velveeta shells and cheese with 2% milk cups. That way I just eat the cup, and not a whole box.
