What do you think about duping getting patched in the "Welcome Amiibo!" update?

Personally, I'm glad it got patched because this one guy on my friends list randomly came over without my permission and duped. He was really stupid about it too; he would come over without permission and and didn't even let me keep a single item despite me letting him over without planning.

Anyways what are your thoughts?

I'm really glad. Duping makes the whole game not fun for the others and burns out the game for those playing.

Not really... Duping items like Sanrio items are basically impossible to get if you're in another region so it helps a lot.

Nah that's what we thought. I know a couple of people who have successfully duped new amiibo items.

The net glitch no longer works, but cloning does.

Dont care. I don't do it but duping has no negative effects on a game like this one. Makes no difference to me if people can do it or not.

they should have done this when they saw it was happening, not when people basically have what they need duped now

I don't really care now that my town is finished. I duped a lot of my landscaping items like clovers, gold roses, trees, bushes etc. I'm so glad I finished my town before this update because it really helped me out.

Personally I don't dupe, but I think to each his own and if people want to do it then I don't care. I think it's petty to tell people how to play their game.

I never duped before, but thanks to duping I was able to finish my wishlist quicker, and I'm sure many others could, too, as it made the items more widely available.
Well, this will make my new wishlist much harder to complete
But I'll try my best regardless ^^

I don't really care. While it's possible that the items I have gotten from people were duped items, I have actually never attempted duping, and don't care to. I just haven't needed to use glitches or hacks to obtain my items. There are other people who I can get stuff from, in many different ways, and trading is good enough for me.

Actually, it was just confirmed that duping hasn't been patched and that that is just a rumor. I saw a lot of tumblr players talking about it, and a few new tutorials, so I guess it isn't gone after all.

Yes, it still works. My friend without a Bell Tree account can get a share in the Amiibo items I get by cloning, it makes her very happy.

Did they patch the net/train track glitch thing too...I used to be able to do that but can't now. I never used duping so that doesn't really bother me lol

Duping wasn't patched. My friend was able to get it to work.
