What do you do with excess bushes once they've been planted?

Like if you change your mind and redesign an area, where do you put them as they can't go in storage? Would be cool if they made that possible! I know it's not necessarily realistic but neither is keeping fish in a drawer haha! Anyway would be interested to know what others do with their extras? Just plant them somewhere they're not in the way until needed? Don't want to sell any just yet as I'm still putting things together so know I'll likely want them and not have them! Cheers

Other than selling them, I moved a few extra bushes behind a cliff at the back of my map so they're out of sight but also out of the way.

It would be really nice to be able to store them along with fully grown flowers though.

Honestly I just sell them if I get tired of them, if there was a way to store them I would. I just don’t have any room on my island really to just put them places.

Leif seems to appear pretty often as well so can always get more if I need them.

i do this as well! just dump in an area that you can't see. but usually i sell them because i'm lazy.

I try my best to hoard them in spots in case I need them again, but I've gotten to the point where I sell the ones I don't see an immediate use for. I find that leaving them huddled everywhere is a bit distracting lol. They made bushes so easy to get in large numbers that it doesn't feel as bad

I've got a bunch cluttering an area in the front of my island because it was an empty space and I needed somewhere to drop them. I keep considering selling them or trashing them, but I'm hesitant because I might want to use them at some point even though I'm really only using yellow and orange tea olive starts. I really don't know why I'm holding on to all these azaleas.

This is me but with flowers. I have random locations of flowers that I'm trying to clone/grow as I'm not done (haven't started) in building an orchard/planting area.

I wish we had some kind of outdoor storage space to keep trees and bushes in... like a greenhouse.

I try to leave a few empty WIP areas to store flowers and bushes if I need them.

Right now I have them planted in a WIP area, because I'm worried about regretting selling them... It sucks that you can't store foliage after it's been planted.

I have them planted in an area that I'm not working on at the moment. It is a bit annoying b/c I can't just phase through them, but I don't want to get rid of them, only to realize that I actually want to use them. I would prefer not to wait the 2 days. If they get really annoying, I'll trash them or sell them.

I use every single bush I plant in some way, mainly because I try not to overplant. If I end up relandscaping an area and it becomes an "excess bush" I'll try to plant them somewhere else where I'll need bushes eventually, even if it's not the right type of bush and just a placeholder. In the future I imagine I'll end up trashing a lot of bushes but for now I don't want to wait 2 days for them to grow so I just reuse whatever I have if I need to.
