If I am alone, I often have a podcast or music on. During quarantine, my mum and I are sharing a space and we both play, so when we are playing at the same time, we often talk about the game or other things. She asks me lots of questions. I kind of feel like we store all of the knowledge about the game in my brain, lol.
I love to put on a show (usually a sitcom) in the background and burn a candle while I play. I bought a big stash of Bath and Body Works candles a while back, and am steadily making my way through those. I also will open the window, but only if it's nice outside, which it hasn't been recently.
My favorite place to play is in my egg chair, it's the big one from Target! I put string lights on it and open the window next to it and it's super cozy.
Cuppa coffee and tall glass of water when I'm sitting at my computer desk with either my OneNote AC section or the forum up. I have a lil stand my Switch Lite sits on when I'm not holding it. But it's much more relaxing to just sit in bed and play and pull up OneNote on my phone.
I usually just chat on discord, if anything. I try to really focus as I play or I get distracted (a lot of things tend to easily distract me) so that's mainly it.
Under normal circumstances I play while I watch tv. But since the world is in the crapper, I've been listening to webinars and wfh stuff with my cat on my lap and twitter on my phone so I can talk with my ac friends.
I... play? Lol I'm not very good at multitasking, but sometimes I'll switch between playing and browsing the forums, or reading an ebook. Or texting a friend maybe. I have also done island hopping / cycling / campsite trick while watching a tv show or doing homework, but that's different imo cuz it requires very minimal attention
