So yesterday I finished my fossil collection in the museum, and I have no clue what to do with my fossils now, usually in new leaf I would just put the 4 fossils in a Corner of my town to have them not respawn again, but it seems in new horizons for me, more fossils respawn even if I didn't pick up my fossils from the day before, so how many fossils can spawn in my town other than the 4-5 daily ones. Also did anyone else just put the remaining fossils in corner to never be touched again?

You can definitely do the same thing in new horizons. I dug all of them up and buried them again behind my house, and now they don't respawn anymore.

I keep digging them up because my second character still needs the nook mile achievement for fossils. She sells them after taking them to Blathers.

also I think the max amount of fossils that spawn is 6, so if you bury 6 then they should stop spawning.

I have just left them🤫 they don’t harm my rating and I don’t need igb atm.

I have only dug them up if they are near the cliff edge where I could potentially get a lily of the valley growing 😊

I always dig em up. I know which areas they will always spawn because I have most of my island covered with flowers or patterns. They mostly spawn in my "dig site" area too which is kinda cute and fitting, so I enjoy digging them up there :p I sell all my fossils for extra cash because I'm poor lol.

I’ve also completed my fossil collection; so usually I’d either let my niece come over and dig up the fossils cause she hasn’t finished her fossil collection yet, let my second character dig it up for their achievement, or just leave them be (especially when I get too lazy to do the first two options). Recently though I have just been selling them to get them out the way of certain island projects I need done!

I still dig all four of the fossils up every day, unless one is really well-hidden for whatever reason. I keep the small ones, especially Amber; otherwise, I sell them to the Nooklings for extra bells because why not. XD

I dig them up whenever I find them (though i don’t go out of my way to look for them everyday) I generally save them up then get them assessed in a big batch and sell them at nook’s for extra money. I just can’t not dig them up, but I don’t really mind having some little daily chores on my island. It’s a nice, predictable routine. 😊

I have dug up most of them, a few spawned near my archaeological dig site and I just left them there. Even put some of those little flags you can buy with nook miles next to them to show there's something there, I think the effect is pretty neat!

At first I also had a complete set of fossils in my storage but because of the 1600 item limit I eventually sold all of those. If they ever get a purpose I'll just start digging again.

I still dig mine up because it is a good source of bells that I can use to make turnip money or use to develop my town. Sometimes I wish I had room in my town to make a dig site because I would just leave them there until I needed the extra bells.

I've dug them up still because I wanted a couple doubles like the ammonite, amber, some the smaller critter fossils and the dino dookie.

It's just part of my daily tasks honestly and earning easy bells. Maybe I'll do the hide the 6 fossils somewhere trick one day.

You can definitely do the same thing in new horizons. I dug all of them up and buried them again behind my house, and now they don't respawn anymore.
I've got them all buried behind cliffs in the very back of my island. That was a while ago, and I haven't seen once since.

I dig them up for Bells. I should probably use them for decoration.

I just sell em, free money B)

I also sold them like the majority of players here. Storage space is a serious issue in this game. I don't have the luxury to keep extras and sell them to others.

I don't mind pocketing a few Bells. I don't often farm anything in game or sell turnips anymore.

i use specific smaller fossils (acanthostega, juramaia, etc) to put on display randomly around my island or drop any of the skull fossils as decoration, then all the rest are sold for bells! :3

I was gifting them to my villagers, so I could get their pictures. After I received all the photos, I just started selling them.

i still dig them up every day but now that i’ve completed the fossil assessment achievement + i don’t need the bells, i’ve just been throwing them in the garbage once i’ve dug them up aha
