You mean MARIO? Yeah I thought that was creepy because when you defeated the last castle it said something like "victim __ (I forgot the number) was found lying on her carpet with claw marks all over her body. Her eyeballs were found missing" etc I forgot the rest. Then you saw a picture and yeah...
was it 666? ?

okay I wrote my own creepypasta!!
once upon a time there was a boy tht really liked games, he picked up diddy kong racing from an old man in an alley way. "woah dude du u got didy kang racin"????" "yess!!" the old man said, it was kinda evily. 'can i have it???" i said really loud!! "k sure" the old man said, "but be careful!!! it is cursed!!" the old man warned "ok sure!! u dingus" i ran home laughing, a game ? cursed no way!!!"
i started up the game but the title screen was blood red!!! and instead of diddy kong racing it was 666 RACING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i tried to close out of it but it didnt work!! i was stuk playing. i died in the game and then didy kong came out of the tv screen and ate me!!! the end!!

They're the same, people just refer to it as creepypasta because people write it on the internet or something. But seeing how many of these stories are actually being printed, there's nothing that sets them apart anymore.

they're called creepy pasta because as opposed to a regular scary story, they're viral, and get copypaste'd a lot.

you're not looking at the right stories. I've found some genuinely haunting and well written stuff.
What were they, if you can remember? I wouldn't mind reading them.
It might also be that some people just aren't bothered by them that much? I know I'm not. Some of them are really well-written, I admit, but to say they haunt me? Nah.
Haha I remember Ben Drowned. I couldn't get enough of that story, I joined the Wiki and everything. Ha I was like, 11? 12? That's when it was actually still going of course, before the author totally ruined it by breaking the 4th wall, and talking about making a video game for it... *ahem*

Not scary, just creepy. I still tell the scary story about the dog who licked it's owners hand to comfort it. I won't even say it here because it's a mind ruin-er if you don't know it, lmao. Now that should be a creepypasta! I do like Slendyman though, but only because I enjoy letsplayers funny videos.
