So, November is coming up and we know for sure that Franklin is coming back. What do you expect to see in this new update? My thoughts:

Veggies and veggie items/crafting: so this has been an ongoing “leak” and with pumpkins, I think it’s pretty obvious we’ll be getting more veggies for new items and recipes. Plus, it makes sense that Franklin would need them for his cooking.
Harvest festival: I think it’s probably going to be very similar to NL. However, I’d love it if they could bring back a few things back from CF/GCN, like the big tables and your villagers hanging out waiting to eat.

Brewster and The Roost are back: this is a big maybe. Hopefully Brewster fill be back to bring some fall/autumny beverages.
Gyroids: I can only see them coming back if Brewster is back in this update.

Tortimer/Cornimer is back! Small comeback from Tortimer to join everyone at the Harvest Festival or he returns as his alias, Cornimer, to hand out some cool new fall furniture (I find this more unlikely, as we already have fall furniture + furniture we can get from acorns, but who knows!)
I'm really hoping to see Franklin again, along with his cooking event like in New Leaf, as that was one of my favroite events! In addition, I would not mind seeing Brewster's Cafe!
More crops and the introduction of food recipes. We all have these extravagant (albeit tiny) kitchens so the best case scenario would be if we can actually use them.
I NEED food and drink furniture. I want cooking like the Sims 3 (just adjusted to make it more Animal Crossing like) - like having a chance to fail at cooking resulting in burnt food (that can be used as decoration), there being different ingredients and combinations to make each recipe like 1 any vegetable 1 red snapper 1 apple (bad recipe but that’s not the point). I’d like our rep to be able to interact with the items and not just our villagers; would love to eat some sandwiches or something with them. For consumables, maybe have them give different effects partially depending on recipe and also on quality of cooking like increased swimming speed by x for y minutes/hours. Cooking is not high on my priority list though. My main desire is really nice food and drink furniture. I’d like some better kitchen/dining area options too to give us more variety.
I missed harvest day on NL so I would love to see Franklin.
i at least want the Harvest Festival and Toy Day celebrations to come back, and it's kind of guaranteed that they will with this update. id also like to have new crops as well; this is the only aspect of the update i truly have my hopes up for bc of datamines.
i try not to expect too many things bc all the previous updates we've had seemed like it was an update specifically for that holiday/event, so things not directly related to the reason for the update just don't seem likely to happen at all. perhaps when all the events have been added, i'll start being a little more hopeful for stuff like more furniture and previous npcs to return. but until them im just chilling.
I have never played Harvest Day during NL. Thanksgiving is not a thing in my country so I didn't realise it was that day. I remember logging in in the evening and my villagers being super snarky haha. "Harvest Day is a great day full of fun! Or at least it WOULD HAVE BEEN if someone had decided to show up!"
Anyway so I'm excited to get to do it for the first time. I have no idea what to expect. So far I'm really enjoying all of the events but Halloween was definitely my favourite. Hoping it will be something similar and we have enough time to complete it.
But since the update was set for late november, and Thanksgiving is also late november (I googled it. I used to think thanksgiving was on the fourth of july lol plz don't @ me) I feel like it won't be as big as Halloween.
Hopefully we get some food items. A turkey, plates of food, cornucopia, apple or veggie basket. Maybe a banquet table. Corn crops and other farming/hay furniture (like a tractor, bale of hay, etc.) I don't remember playing Thanksgiving in New Leaf, so not sure about the actual event. It'd be nice to set up a whole Thanksgiving meal and have all our villagers over.
For Christmas I'd love an illuminated fence or fairy lights. Christmas lights for our house please!
Update is late fall for Harvest Festival and Toy Day. While I wait I started storing fish/diving creatures from ACNL Harvest Festival List.
Leif or Nooks could sell seeds as soon as the Update drops and we might have time to plant them. If not I hope the Pumpkins can be use. If Franklin only appears on Harvest Festival Day I hope we get new fruit/DIY recipes and vegetable seeds.
Before ACNL update in 2016 a lot of players used the extra vinegar/milk bottles, sugar bags and butter for decorations. Vinegar bottles were good for Bars/Clubs. Hope those items return.
New kitchen/food themed items would be nice, otherwise I also like the idea of veggies. I guess it's too early for Brewster and The Roost to be added (although you never know), so I would love to see at least a comeback of Franklin along with the Harvest festival and in general a first look of how Toy Day will be in this game.
I would like to see more types of plants or greenery/flowers, and the Roost it would make sense bringing a coffee shop in Autumn before winter for all the islanders to get some hot drinks (although for me in Australia its going to be very hot and seeing little animals drinking hot drinks while its summer wont be enjoyable)
I was never a fan of the old holiday sets, but NH's takes on the bunny day and spooky sets are quite nice! I'm hoping that the harvest set gets a similar makeover, assuming we get that. Food items would be a nice bonus.
Food items would be amazing! I’m hoping we get some kind of goofy kitchen items as well. I feel most of NH’s sets are very “serious”compared to previous entries.
After others have brought it up, I agree, bing back Brewster. I didn't play New Leaf enough to see him there, but I did in Wild World (since he's just there from the beginning).
It'd be neat if they expanded the types of drinks he could give you to walk around with and drink. I'd like cups with straws, like maybe bubble tea or...those smoothies that animals already bring out sometimes before sitting down, though with a better animation, as the Tweeter has spoiled me with its good (and precise) animation.
Crops and more food items seem like they're very likely to show up because of Franklin, but if Brewster comes back, i'll be super excited! I really would like to have more things that I could do each day.
I'd really like to see cooking mainly. I really enjoyed the unique food items for harvest in new leaf and used them alot in decorating, so I hope something similar is in NH.
