yeah villagers sometimes refer to uchi villagers as he which is confusing

The other day i went to visit Flurry and the first thing she said to me was,
"Welcome to my home, twiggy! I was just sitting down to write a poem about a pocket knife."
Curious as to why i talk to her again.
She started going on about how she met my friend from another town, and she didn't think very highly of him apparently..
I was a little terrified.

Same here. I could honestly go without a Jock or Snooty villager just to get more Lazies.
I've always been fond of na?ve characters, and to me, Lazies all embody that charming personality.
It happened to me too. It is funny though.
What I also don't get is why they keep asking for fruit. They can shake trees themselves, why do you need to bring them fruit in the first place?

Yup. It happened with Kyle and Pierce for me, too. I couldn't stop laughing for five minutes or so.
The Lazies use the excuse that 'they're too hungry to move'... but I've often caught them standing on one of my persimmons when they say that.
One of the oddest conversations I've had with Monty also details the 'FOOT' dream mentioned before. Even better is the fact that he dreams it repeatedly.
Here is my collection of weird villagers' dialogues:
Bruce told Teddy he wants children to call him "papa." Teddy trolled Bruce and called him "PAPA!" Bruce went berserk afterwards.
Zell and Lopez finding out they are almost identical. xD The game almost breaking the 4th wall \\. It reminds us players Lopez and Zell are both programmed as smug deer.
Who doesn't like butts?

Apparently I went to talk to Molly at her house and she told me she was writing a poem about a math calculator. Thought it was funny and so did one of my friends when he read my tweet about it. But as for Flurry and the pocketknife poem, yeah sounds creepy and odd that I concur with you about. I wonder if they have strange objects + poetry function in the game in terms of speaking dialogue. O_O?
What's even more odd is that the villager they talk about could sometimes be walking within earshot and not reply or say anything but they're like literally right there. I don't get why the game doesn't give you an option to have a say of "But so and so is right there!" xD It'd make for more funny moments and whatnot if you kind of think about it.

The 'papa' thing makes me so sad. Gaston's said the same thing and it's like he goes on about wanting a daughter and all this stuff and it's just 2sad4me because he talks about it like it's something he can't have and it hits me in the feelings.
I've heard quite a few odd quotes from my peppies but considering their dialogues consist of like 60% odd quotes they're not even surprising anymore lol

Omg I can't believe you see it like that! I always thought crankies are creepy pedo bears. You see Bruce sent me a letter basically telling me he didn't just went through my mailbox and read what my mom just wrote to me. xD cuz he said it's a pure coincidence he is just using the same stationary as my mom. But he doesn't admit to opening my mail and see what my mom used as a stationary on that date!
So when I saw Bruce say he wants children to call him "papa." In my head I'm screaming "you pedo deer!"
Another thing that was weird is that I talked to Mac. He wanted to replace his cupid bench, that I gave to him a while back, with something of the same size. So I gave him a sofa. Later I talked to him again and he said that was shopping with Rosie and bought a cupid bench. He wanted to sell it to me. That same bench I gave him a while back.
