Weird habits you find yourself doing

I have this weird habit of digging fossils even after completing my collection. Maybe I might have a compulsive disorder.

hmm not sure if it's a weird one but each time i have over 60k bells in my wallet, i have to go deposit it in the abd immediately.
i guess it has to do with pocket space since i like to utilize all my slots lmao. so i always carry just a little under 60k in my wallet at all times bc of this.

Oh that's a good one. I do the same thing. I can't stand having over 99k bells in my inventory.

I'm paranoid about some things but not so many weird habits here actually. I guess I constantly like to keep my inventory a little too tidy.

i have so many reasons to say it lmao. my villagers love to sit under trees.... but only tree trees that are directly next to pathways... i guess it'd be too hard to sit on the grass

Sometimes I run around aimlessly out of boredom.

Also I have a habit of taking photos and videos anytime a villager or NPC does or says something funny or cute. Sometimes I do it without realizing it even if it's repeated dialogue I screenshoted already lol I have over 4,000 photos and nearly 200 videos at this point.

I used to be the worst about screenshots in NL. I was so obsessed with documenting stuff that I took pictures (using a camera) of the bottom screen to document letters I'd received. UGH.

In NH I don't have many weird habits. The weirdest is probably just making sure all my tools are lined up in a row in my inventory with no gaps, but that's just because when I'm selling stuff it's annoying to go hunting for randomly placed items in my inventory.

I have the hardest time throwing away fossils and DIYs. I always think that someone out there might need them. Unfortunately, when I made a thread for this it didn't really work out lol

I've just been giving the diys away in random bundles of 10 on other discords. It's also of work trying to keep track and searching for the one DIY people want. I stopped feeling guilty about throwing stuff out now.

I don't know that I necessarily have any weird habits but also I've definitely done some things that people have mentioned on here... I run around in circles a lot when I don't really know what to do. Which is a lot of the time to be fair. I also take multiple pictures at once from the same angle even though i know nothing has changed and i'll just end up deleting them eventually anyway

I often find myself talking to myself while playing the game, i felt I was streaming or something but in reality, I'm just talking to myself .-.

I do this when I dream. I'll be walking around saying things like, "what's down this path? Oh, they used <insert item>. That's different"

I mess up my emotes to people by pressing all the wrong buttons when I get tired ( insomnia problems) but then I do it even worse after that because now I’m tired and flustered.

Lately I have been obsessed with screenshot-ing my villagers dialogue, both with me and with each other. I know this will seem strange, because I’ve noticed a lot of people on here dedicate a lot of time to complaining about limited dialogue. I think there was some conversation or live that I wished I had saved after the fact, and that caused just enough anxiety to spur this weird habit.
Ideally, I will go through at some point and do some culling of theses images.

based on reading some of the comments here and seeing what other people think is weird, it is likely I have a lot of behaviors people would find strange. I don’t worry about it though, since if anything it increases my enjoyment of the game.

And yes, I do apologize to my villagers when I bump them etc. out loud, and accompanied by pet names/nicknames.

When it’s late at night and I don’t want to stop playing or go to sleep, but I can’t think of anything to do, I go walk around my island to my favorite parts, kinda to admire what I’ve done or to try to think of ways to improve it or add on to it.

This is more of being forgetful and I should take notes, but I forget which color of hibiscus bushes I planted.

So I dig it up, check, replant and continue my shrubbery adventure. Then the next day, I'll forget what color they are, lol.

I also do the zone-out thing ... I sometimes sit on the bench in my gamegarden and just stare at my TV screen as if something's going to happen !! I too give nicknames to things: mussels are Jane Russells, sort of my own Cockney rhyming slang Whelks are Lorries ...

My weirdest habit, though, is something I started doing with New Leaf because of the 3D and I seem to have carried it over to New Horizons: I crane my neck to try and see around and behind things !!

For some reason every time I interact with Pascal I take a screenshot for the little words of wisdom he gives you. I never do anything with them but I think I've taken it every single time I've found a scallop and talked to him! So that's my little weird habit I do! I also have things that are more of routines like what I do first in the game each day but I'm not sure it's weird per say, just a daily thing I do!

This commentary is something I must listen to.

One habit I've always had: I add a lot of dialogue for my villagers and my own character. Sometimes I'll walk by without talking to them, or see others interacting, and create my own scenes. Recently posted on my bulletin board about an area I'd finished on my island (outdoor spa - original, I know) and when a few villagers were hanging around there I played out a grand opening. I have fun with it.
